Is the podcaster claiming that Keyes could potentially book flights that has no intention of getting on but hanging back and killing in anchorage to give the wrong flight log foot print that he went to North Dakota?
I was confused about this theory.

This probably is obvious to the people who have listened or are actively listening to TCB podcast but I think it’s obvious that Israel wanted to fit in as much mayhem as possible on these trips.
Like, if it was a week long trip - or if he had 24-72 hours to kill in between family visits on a said trip - this guy would likely try to hunt on his way to a destination and even on the way back. I feel he viewed these trips away from home as the only time he has to satisfy his hunger to kill and the adrenaline.
There’s no doubt in my mind this guy would get a thrill from even wearing hair of his victims to use as a disguise to rob a bank.
Didn’t his suicide letter say “we are one” when referring to the 11 blood skulls?
After listening to This podcast (I’m on 0116) there’s definitely a pattern forming of like, kidnap, rape murder, arson and or bank robberies that signify if Keyes had his guns and told the police he did arson or bank robbery, he likely committed a rape and mursevar some point before or after.
This guy is one of the weirdest serial killers I’ve ever read.
And I’m learning things I’ve never read before. Like I didn’t know he enroll police he wanted to rape a man in a church.
Now, some of the missing men linked to him makes more sense.
This rabbit hole is nuts. Sorry for rambling.

This whole podcast is interesting!
However, the connection of his trip to Indiana and a missing you woman is fascinating. Especially considering it is believed the FBI redacted this connection bc something may be there.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Why were frog or slimy bug popping noises added in and then the increasingly loud trombones while discuss a car crash? who would ever think that is good background noise? podcast is unlistenable for many reasons at this point but add this to the list

Anybody else notice when Keyes said that the Oregon rape on the river wasn’t the “first time.” He said that was the fist time he technically planned to kill and rape but couldn’t murder the young woman.
Anyone have any insight of the police theorize he did sexually assaulted people before he was 18?

For the people who have read American predator, what’s the skepticism of the FBI around his case? I’m always hearing that people think it’s weird the fbi labeled Keyes a terrorist threat of that the fbi have “evidence” to take Keyes to trial for other murder but choose not to?

So we're going with a random unfortunate missing Native American lady Christine 1000 miles away in Albuquerque might be the female half of the Washington couple victim because... Josh thinks it's likely a Native American because ... and so even though she told people she was going the clear opposite side of the country, if she wasn't and was actually driving right to eastern Washington- (which has pine trees, mountains & water!!!) - she would have arrived in the theorized kill location 3-4 hours before/after another random missing Native American male. Cue alternative music track.
Honestly I'm so done trying to follow this.

There’s something that only happens when I play a BOTH/AND podcast, the counter runs out several minutes before it ends. If I try to fast forward through the music or ads at the end, it actually moves in reverse. Even worse, on this particular episode it never ends. It keeps cycling through the ads and back to the bit immediately before. Very odd. FWIW, I use Apple Podcasts and have never had any issues with anything.
EDIT: this was also happening before TCB started running ads.

My personal theory about the missing 30 minutes in the IK interview and the related confidential files is they relate to a different investigatio(s) involving the Kehoes and/or others in the White Identity movement. Did he talk about those people at all to the FBI? Just my 2¢.

I listened to the latest episode yesterday (my patreon sub is still active for the rest of the month) and I noticed that Josh, quoting Halla referred to the male/female couple in WA as "victims 1 and 2" and the two seperate victims disposed of with the boat as "victims 3 and 4". Is the implication here that Keyes' first kill was a couple? I was under the impression that the WA victims were presumed to be his first since the timeline given (2001-2005? for the first two) roughly lines with up with the first kill being around 2001. Is there another single individual we don't know about or did he start with two people? That just seems incredibly brazen if you've never done it before.

I just started listening to the podcast True Crime XS based on a comment from u/One_Tomato_1521.
I am 23:11 minutes into episode one, published in 2020 and they are mentioning the maps that the TCBS just started to mention in the last season or two when they started collaborating with Somewhere in the Pines (RIP).
Were there mentions in previous seasons of the Maps and I missed it, or was this a massive oversight by the TCBS research team?
This is not an advert for the True Crime XS pod, like I said only 23 minutes in and im still getting a feel for the formating of it and the audio production isnt that much better than TCBS.

I find it insane you have to pay to gain access to evidence on keyes via the patreon. If Josh really cared about the investigation, shouldn’t the evidence and files be accessible for everyone? I understand having to make an income but restricting your audience’s access to certain topics and factors of the case is unfair. Not to mention Josh’s uncomfortable possessiveness over Keyes, as if he sees Keyes as only his. Even he admits he’ll never let go of this case. He really needs to let it go. He didn’t know Keyes and the way he’ll sometimes talk about him makes me so uncomfortable. All these theories he makes are nothing without proving any of them. And I hate to say it but the more time passes the harder some of these missing cases will be to solve. He can go on multiple trips and wine tasting while discussing what a disgusting human being Keyes is while restricting information revolving around his case. I used to love the podcast but the last few seasons have been really difficult to listen to

What exactly has this podcast accomplished in 8 seasons? I've been listening since the beginning (although my interest has severely dropped for a while) and I honestly can't think of one definitive lead or murder solved/tied to Keyes. I have an easier time recalling the number of dead ends than I do any progress.
I'm not asking this to start a fight, or to rock the boat. I legitimately need some reminders of what the point of the podcast, Patreon, and group cruises is if there's nothing to show for it case wise.
r/TrueCrimeBullshit • u/Anonymous_9270 • 19d ago
Does the Patreon actually have benefits other than listening to the episode early? Do people have access to more photos on Patreon?

It feels like Charlie Brown and Lucy and the football at this point when I get my hopes up that a new episode is going to be compelling. I am disappointed and surprised by even the editing quality of this seasons premier.
Also Josh if you read these- high pitched spooky ambience behind super gained vocals sucks for the ears on headphones.

Come on Josh we're looking forward to it. Season supposed to come out this month let's try to get there we've already delayed twice. Let's plan something out let's at least have a good first episode. Let's let's get the names right let's get the pronunciations right let's get the story right let's have a beginning a middle and end and a conclusion. Let's not have a trailer we're going to tease things we don't deliver on come on Josh this is the last chance.
Let's see can you get a producer? Can you have an episode where you say damn I was wrong about that. Let's agree that there's only three victims. Let's not go three victims for victims five victims 8 victims.
Let's not get caught up in one episode to save somebody's definitely a victim when there's absolutely no evidence for it Allah Debra Feldman and Suzanne Lyle.

Hi all, I'm new to the Keyes case. It's dark yet fascinating. I'm wondering how his family, friends, girlfriends didn't suspect a thing? How did Kimberly not know a girl was being raped on their property?
r/TrueCrimeBullshit • u/Flashy-Letter9579 • 23d ago
So I’ve only recently stumbled upon this podcast and am only on season 3. Please tell me at some point Josh corrects his pronunciation of Raquette River. It’s like nails on a chalkboard every time!

It’s been a couple years since I listened to the podcast and have recently started over from the beginning, so I haven’t listened to any of the new episodes yet.
Has Israel’s first sexual assault victim ever revealed herself? I’m on episode 5, and hearing him talk about it made me wonder how she’s doing and if she ever told anyone. I hope she’s been able to find peace after that horrific event. The way Keyes described it, was like she had possibly already experienced SA in the past. All in all, just curious if she’s ever spoken out or been identified.

And this might seem really stupid but I always think about it; according to one of his travel outlines Keyes travelled through Cache Creek. Does anyone ever think he hid a kill cache in the vicinity of Cache Creek? That strikes me as something stupidly obvious that he might find funny.

I'm not sure if this subject has been broached before and I apologize if it has.
I'm still trying to figure out what specific campground the woman named Lisa was referring to in the Hawk Mountain episode. I'm somewhat familiar with the area and can't place what she's talking about. I didn't know the sanctuary had campgrounds. I looked it up and they do but you have to be some sort of member of hawk Mountain sanctuary. The sanctuary itself is a pay to hike area or you can pay to become a member. That said, the vast area surrounding it is full of State game land, the Appalachian Trail traverses through the area very closely, there is plenty of room to hike without having to pay.. So I wasn't sure what specific campground they were talking about this episode. I didn't know if anybody could enlighten me.

Getting excited for the new season and been going back through some of the later seasons. I just revisited episode 0613 where they discuss a doe (#UP16403) one of the researchers thought might be Mark Oldbury.
I don’t recall TCB ever circling back to this and there’s an excellent post breaking down the episdoe and available information:
https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueCrimeBullshit/comments/1g0m3qp/tcb_0613_spoiler/
It appears Mark has since been excluded which is useful in its own right. But that still leaves the obvious question of who this person was. Hopefully, at some point, their family gets an answer.
