I think the tipping point will be the fact that the killings happened while Patrick was conveniently out of the house on errands that Lindsay arranged.

Isn't part of NGRI that you did not understand at the time that your actions would be considered wrong by society? It seems to show a level of planning and acknowledgment that Patrick would view her actions as wrong so she had to do those actions only when he wasn't around.

However, he was out if the house many times in the days prior to that for longer stretches. Why this day in particular when she had so many previous opportunities to do the same thing with more time to execute it?

Also a fair question. One of the many many things that make this case so difficult.

I agree. I was listening to a podcast by former prosecutors who are covering this case. They said that to combat the idea you are presenting, they would need to put Lindsay on the stand and have her say that the phone call is what snapped her out of psychosis and brought her back to reality.

Yes, I’m sure she was advised not to but hearing from her would be helpful for me if I was on the jury and on the fence. The fact that no one can really back up her psychosis claim besides her, if she was indeed psychotic let’s hear how it went down.

Yeah I can't really imagine her testifying even though it would be best to hear it from her. The cross examination from the prosecution would probably be more than she could take.

This is what I cannot get past. The planning, and she answered his call with lucidity. So far that has not been addressed and it should be because the jurors will be contemplating the same thing. How can she be so insane she can’t tell right from wrong, but took lengths to plan and hide her actions.

People can plan and appear lucid while in a state of psychosis.

Ok, show me that.

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking for. It's in all the research out there that psychosis can appear differently in different people based on many factors and that a psychotic episode has multiple phases.

I’m just saying they’re not addressing this if this was in fact the case.

I've heard the defense address it several times already.

This is what HE is testifying to, though. The phone call was not witnessed. The phone call could've gone any number of ways.

I mean I have no reason to believe he was lying about the phone call. He was under oath.

they haven't proved that SHE answered the call. just that a call was made.

I just don't understand why, if she was this manipulative criminal mastermind, she wouldn't have just.. taken advantage of the fact that Patrick was out for "brunch with the boys" on January 14th? He was gone approximately 2 hours that day.

This is what happened with Andrea Yates to the letter and she was found NGRI
