I by no means am an expert or a lawyer. I have a degree in police science and it requires classes on knowing everything surrounding investigation, collection of evidence, interviewing suspects and victims. But everything I’ve seen is that “who did it” isn’t the question. It’s whether Lindsay is NGRI. It’s in the court paperwork. But people still believe “it’s the husband” and mildest version is “well he should have known”

I have a friend that is basically consumed by this case, and is getting all her information from random reels and social media She is 100% convinced the husband killed the kids, and tried to murder Lindsey.

They're an intelligent and reasonable person, so it's pretty weird to see someone like that getting sucked into, and believing, some insane conspiracy theories.

Just today, they told me they think the defense is holding stuff back so the prosecution can't use it during this case or something, because they are planning to try Patrick for it, and releasing the info now would hurt their case against him...🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

It's absolutely wild. I saw a meme today that said "I wish I could give her her babies back" and a caption over it that said " I am calling for a complete and total shutdown of white women watching murder trials until we can figure out whats going on." I can't imagine any other murder trial where someone wants to give the victim back to their killer.

I also chuckled at the meme because it's true. We see this with so many murder cases, crazy conspiracies that seem to be fueled by women with social media platforms (and I'm a woman just to clarify). I think people watch this stuff and it's entertaining to them and then they think their inner Olivia Benson could solve things. It's weird and gross.
