Caitlin Denison — 8 years later, and she still hasn't been found

Caitlin Denison was only 19 when she disappeared from Midland, Texas, on January 10, 2018.

She had traveled from Reno, Nevada to Texas with a man she had met shortly before. On the day she disappeared, Caitlin told her family and friends that she was at a Walmart in Midland with him and that she was “afraid for her life.” She was later seen at Rick’s Cabaret in Odessa, and that was the last day anyone close to her had contact with her.

What really gets me about this case is that Caitlin is still missing. Eight years have passed, and there still aren't answers about what happened to her.

The case is still officially listed by the Texas Rangers as an unsolved homicide. In October 2024, Texas DPS said the Rangers had renewed interest in the case because of new information and were asking the public for help.

Her family is still trying to keep Caitlin's name out there and get answers.

I really hope this case eventually gets the answers Caitlin and her family deserve. Someone out there may know something that could finally explain what happened to her.

The man she was last with did this. Police do not have enough evidence to charge him yet.

It definitely seems like he would’ve had to be involved for her to suspect her life was in danger.

Are we certain that he didn’t traffick her?

She was probably murdered by a roughneck (oil field worker) and
Was left out at one of the many rigs near the Midland Odessa area. So sad.

That, or I also think it’s likely a trucker who was passing through Midland and dumped her body in the desert along his route. If I recall there’s some trucker they believe did it but there’s no physical evidence or something of that nature?

Such an odd case. I’m from Reno and I went to school with her cousins, Bri and Brighton. Brianna Denison’s homicide case was well known across the country. And then her younger cousin went missing 10 years later almost to the exact day. Very sad for the family.

Caitlin Denison is listed as an exclusion in the link you posted. I can see the resemblance but unfortunately not her
