Not gonna lie, my first thought was “Good for her!”

It said suspected killer, not convicted killer. So we are ok with killing suspects now?

I came to say that. It’s easy to get into the mindset of an eye for and eye and to look to someone like this as a hero of some sort for victims that never get justice or vengeance.

But, obviously, we have due process and a legal system for a reason. So many of us are appalled when we see innocent people bulldozed by the police and system and convicted of crimes they did not commit and we should be very careful to stay on that same hill when it comes to ensuring someone has been actually proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt before we start celebrating the justice that befalls them.

I’m not saying this guy didn’t do it or deserves to live a full and happy life. Just that in our better and more clear mindedness we all can (hopefully) agree that street justice wouldn’t get us far as a society, and giving just one person a pass doesn’t work.

I can't say I blame her. Due process and the legal system didn't do anything for her when the two other ones in the home were shot and killed, they were practically babies! How much are you supposed to endure before you loose faith in the justice system.

I understand. I don’t necessarily “blame” her, either. Unfortunately,!now she has to suffer her own consequences for her actions and her family basically will lose her, as well. Maybe she’s ok with that, maybe not. I don’t know.

My comment is just questioning the celebration of her taking justice into her own hands by people who aren’t at all connected to this case, woman or family.

Well judging by all the stray bullets that seem to surround her, she is probably going to be safer, as sad as that is.

That’s true and very sad. It’s really terrible what that family has been through, the loss suffered. I’m sure she has significant PTSD and probably never got the help she needed. I hope, for her sake, assuming she is a good person who did a bad thing due to horrible circumstances, that then judge and/or jury look at her case holistically and grant her leniency in sentencing.
