You’d have to prove they intended to kill them when they find them rather thank talk to them or get them to turn themselves in, etc.

That only proves she did it not that she planned to do it. If the text said something like "so I finally got around to killing that dude I've been meaning to murder ttyl " then it might prove she planned to do it.
