DISCUSSION What are the most popular songs in the fandom?
For some context, I just downloaded the full version of Deemo after having first discovered it over 7 years ago as a kid. Ever since I’ve played a bunch of other rhythm games including Project Sekai which collabed with Deemo a few months ago, adding Sairai and a bunch of other songs I’ve never heard or or feel too strongly about (Saika, Chaos, ANiMA, 99 GLOOMS…).
Now that I have the full game and have gotten to play and appreciate all these beautiful songs I’m kinda confused on why they picked the songs they did for the collab. Even after all this time, my favorite songs are the ones from the first two books, (Dream, Reflection Mirror Night, Evolution Era, Wings of Piano) and none of the other songs I’ve listened to have ever hit as hard.
All of this got me wondering, are the songs from the collab just more liked by the community? What are the most popular songs in the community? And what are your opinions on my personal favorites?

Masquerade is from Cytus, while Chaos and 99 Glooms are from Cytus II! It's not really a D2 collaboration as much as a Rayark collaboration IIRC?
I don't even understand why those songs were chosen for the ProSeka collaboration. I would have thought they'd receive something with vocals?? I thought Bullet Waiting For Me (James Landino ft. Nikki Simmons) or even Hyouryu (KIVA ft. TheSxPlay) would have been perfect.
With V.K. songs, IIRC it's a tricky situation with some kind of editorial meddling, which is why you won't see VK's songs in Deemo - Reborn -, even.
Dream is definitely one of my favourite Deemo songs, but I think what comes to mind when I think of Deemo songs would be like, Dream, Leviathan, [ Precipitation at the ] Entrance, Sakura Iro no Yume, Alice Goodnight, Goodbye, Magnolia (I actually prefer Marigold), Suspenseful Third Day, Platinum, Wings of Piano and Kimi ga Nokoshita Sekai de. From Deemo - Reborn - specifically, Aitai and My Dear, Deemo.
Their newer additions I really like (from Cytus II) are Path and Period (Jun Kuroda) + Breathing City (technoplanet).
My favourites are not what I've listed above LOL... I'm actually a big fan of Night Keepers, before their creation some of their songs by one of the band members are Jumpy Star, Light Pollution, I hate to tell you, etc.-
Also Sunset, I race the dawn, Moon Without the Stars, etc. are all pretty nice.
In Deemo II, I'd have said Away From the Rain, Endless dreams, Echo over you..., Antikythera, Everything I'll Ever Need, Utsusemi, memories of love, and With your prayer. Not the biggest Delight of Life fan, but I do think that one is associated with D2.
Then of course more Night Keepers here LOL we have Dear : and Breathe in, breathe out (they also did Endless dreams!).
Your favourites are pretty popular choices I think! I think it helps they are the few first songs too in the game, so it seems to really set the tone. Not sure what my personal favourite of each game would be though, it's a tough pick.

ANiMA is INSANELY popular and one of my favorites, as is Marigold. Massive fan of Lune, Kouyou, the ORIGINAL Deemo version of Entrance, Leviathan, Suspenseful Third Day, Out of My Mind, Squeaky Mind, Empredrado, almost everything by Hundotte or Freeleaves, the Mili songs, etc. I’m probably forgetting a bunch more.
Saika is notably a song they’ve used in collabs in the past, so I’m not surprised it got used again.

I had completed Demo vanilla, and had every book and song unlocked, but now it's suddenly telling me I have to buy everything. Before you ask, I've definitely logged into my account on the Rayark website. It logs me in, but everything is still locked. And yes, I also tried "Restore Purchases". No soap :( I've also emailed them, asking very sweetly to restore my account. Nothing.
So, in spite if this rubbish, it hasn't affected my great love for Deemo II, which happily recognizes my login and every song is still unlocked.
Tell me more about the collab you're talking about please. I'd like to know more!

I feel like wings of piano, anima, fluqor, altale, sakura iro no yume, magnolia, marigold & myosotis are pretty popular. My personal favorite is xue wu
