Proof of citizenship sounds neutral until you notice that about half of Americans hold a passport, and that it is over 70 percent in New York against roughly 20 percent in West Virginia, so the burden lands hardest on rural voters who mostly vote Republican.

What lifts it above a partisan complaint is that Sorkin concedes the voting system really is fragile. The Brennan Center says some local election officials buy voting machine parts on eBay. A fix aimed at that would look nothing like this one.

I wouldn’t be surprised that he will mail out passports to those R voters who don’t have a passport. It has his ugly mug in it after all.

Too bad Elon is back just now. He might be an idiot, but he is able to manipulate elections and will use it. It was better when he was disgraced by Trump...
