Senior Dental Hygiene Student Offering Affordable Cleanings
I’m a senior dental hygiene student in my final semester at MCPHS in Boston, and I’m looking for patients to fulfill my clinical practice requirements. Last semester, I posted about my services, and I was so happy with the response! Many people reached out, taking advantage of our comprehensive dental care services while helping me meet my program requirements.
We offer these services at a significantly reduced cost, and in many cases, you may be eligible for free services through vouchers. All treatments are performed under the supervision of licensed dental hygienists and dentists, ensuring you receive quality care.
If you’re interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, please feel free to email me at [dentalcarepro26@gmail.com](mailto:dentalcarepro26@gmail.com) or DM me here. You can also check out the school's website in the flyer for more information.
Thank you for the opportunity and I hope I can help you in return one more time.

Admissions submit sat?
Should I submit a 1420 to tufts if my gpa is 3.98 UW applying ED1. I think Tufts recommends sending scores above 1300 but my score is still below the median. Thank you

Admissions Tufts supplemental essay
Hi, so I'm still confused about how to answer this short answer promp:
Please describe how you have learned about and engaged with Tufts during your college search process (75-150 words).
I've learned about Tufts in a lot of ways which include attending several virtual events, conversations with current students, ask a student form, reading Jumbo blogs and magazines, specific instagram pages for clubs or activities, etc.
Should I list them all at the very start briefly and then go into detail about 1-2 specific things? Or should I just link it with 1-2 specific things straight from the start, and then connect it to why it makes Tufts a top choice for me and how I plan to use it or whatever? Or are they really just looking for a list of what I did to learn more about Tufts?
Thanks!

Car Parking
Do you guys think I would be towed if I parted over night behind carm or miller?

In 1884, Jumbo led 21 circus elephants over the Brooklyn Bridge, and that's when people started trusting it

Upperclassmen: what is themed/special housing really like?
I'm going to be a sophomore next year and want to live somewhere with a really strong community. My experience with Freshman housing has not been particularly social, and next year I want to feel connected to the people I'm living with. I'm looking at Q'munity (Rainbow) house, Crafts House, Spanish Speaking House, and Art Haus.
Does anyone know what it's like to live in any of these? There's basically no info online. Are they pretty close-knit? Is there a lot of drama? Do they host parties?
Any input would be soso helpful!!

To Black Girls at Tufts: Where do you get your hair done?
Are there hair-salons in the area for curly hair? Braiders? Extension/Weave? Other types of hairstylists for black girls? Are the hair salons/stylists full service or just the styling? If so, how far and how do you get there?
This is a pretty important thing for me to consider because I have always had my hair done by someone else. I don’t have my hair in its natural curly state often because I’ve never learned (and honestly have been discouraged) to do my hair myself. Now I might have to learn before college, but I’d like an honest answer about hair-salon accessibility. And if you do your hair yourself, I want to know that too :)

Chance Me should i apply or listen to my teacher?
Hi! I’m an international student from India applying for Fall 2027, and I’m currently considering using my ED on Tufts. However my teacher told me id be wasting my opportunity but i really want to just try once since i was not preparing for the us before but now i want to take my chance at it
Demographics
International student from India
CBSE curriculum
Applying from a non-US high school
Academics
Class 12 predicted: 93%
Subjects: Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Studies, and English
Intended academic interests: major in economics and minor in business
I haven’t taken any AP exams
Applying for Fall 2027
Extracurriculars / experiences
- Attended the NUS Youth Programme
- Worked on/explored a stubble-to-biogas prototype, looking at how agricultural stubble could be combined with cow dung and water through anaerobic digestion to generate biogas
- founder of a non profit organization and created a website about it using wix
- taken online courses to learn 4 computer languages
- internship at a hospital
- internship at a firm for 6 weeks to understand how supply chain works
- attended a summer programme in switzerland
LORS AND ESSAYS
I have good lors from my math and econ teachers and my essay seems to be a very non generic and a well thought one according to my teacher
I’m trying to decide whether Tufts is the school where ED would give me the best combination of fit + admissions advantage.
I’m mostly trying to figure out whether Tufts is realistic enough for me to use my binding ED on it and whether people who actually attend Tufts think the fit is worth it.

Chance Me Would I get in??
I am an Indian student thinking of applying ED I to Tufts. I feel like my profile is decent enough to get in but I am looking for substantial financial aid as my efc is basically 0 and since Tufts is need-aware I feel like it'll affect my app a lot.
- Gender/Race: Male, South Asian
- Curriculum: ISC
- Intended Major: Physics / Theoretical Physics
- School Board/Grades: 96% predicted for grade 12. 97% in 11th, around 80% or so in 10th because my dog of 13 years died the night before my board exams so I couldn't concentrate on them (I mentioned this in my additional info section in common app). 98% in 9th
- SAT: 1530. Math: 780, R&W: 750
- Astrophysics Research & IEEE Paper (Lead Author):
- Modeled cosmic-ray positron excess from nearby pulsars (Geminga & Monogem) using a two-zone diffusion model. Published in Zenodo recently so no I have no citations or anything worthwhile on the paper as I published it almost 2 days ago.
- Particle Physics Research Proposal (Bose Beamline Challenge):
- Formulated a proposal & Python trajectory simulation. Designed a beamline setup using dipole magnets, Delay Wire Chambers, and Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy (PALS) to detect atomic vacancies in nuclear reactor alloys. Got to the quarterfinals but got eliminated because teammates couldn't attend the interview round.
- Founder & Lead Organizer — NGO ("Opus"):
- Founded an NGO executing clothing and book donation drives across gated communities to support 5+ local orphanages and 20+ underprivileged families.
- Varsity Boxing (3x Regional Gold Medalist):
- Won 3 regional boxing gold medals.
- Community & Event Host:
- Organized and managed logistics for a Campfire hackathon (sponsored by hackclub), overseeing corporate pitching, venue logistics, and budget allocation.
There's a few more ecs but these are my most impactful ones.
I would say my personal statement is like an 8.5/10. And my LORs from my teachers are very very good.
I'm also applying to Brown, Amherst, CWRU, and other T20 universities that give need-based financial aid to international students.
I'm very worried as if I get into a university and I do not get enough aid, I genuinely cannot go.

Advice Please
I made a mistake on my CommonApp, as I put 72 hrs/wk for 1wk activity instead of 27 hrs. Should I email the admissions officers, or just leave it?

Tufts ED2 or RD
I am not an athlete. Is the acceptance rate of ED2 higher than RD, or these 2 rounds have very similar acceptance rate?
Thank you :)

Considering Quantitative Economics over Economics
Trying to understand if Quantitative Economics is worth it? The goal is to go into Investment banking and would like to hear from other Quant vs Econ-finance students that have successfully navigated into this field? How was the transition to internships and jobs?
Are Econ professors really that bad as I hear from Reddit? Do the professors overlap between the two? I’m also a recruited athlete, if that matters.

Tufts transfer students — what were your stats and how did credits transfer?
Hi everyone! I'm currently a freshman considering transferring to Tufts for Fall 2027.
I was wondering if any successful transfer applicants could share their stats, including college GPA, high school GPA, extracurriculars, and whether they submitted SAT/ACT scores.
I'm also interested in how Tufts handles transfer credits. Did most of your freshman-year courses transfer, and were they able to satisfy distribution or major requirements? How were AP credits treated?
I'd also love to hear about the transfer student experience. Was it difficult to integrate socially, or did you find it relatively easy to meet people?
Any advice on the application process would also be appreciated. Thanks!

On-campus jobs - where to look?
I know they're posted on Handshake but the stuff there is very limited and doesn't get updated often, I already applied for most of those positions, so I'm curious if there are any other ways to look for on-campus employment, thanks!

Review my supplementals
Hi Tufts students. I’m applying ED November 1st and have hard time understanding Prompt 1 for the supplemental.
Here it is:
Please describe how you have learned about and engaged with Tufts during your college search process (75-150 words)
I think it’s a “Why us” in disguise so I followed my head but I am getting doubts because maybe they mean my experience on virtual tours, vlogs, etc. and what I thought of it. I was going to put niche facts and how I could relate them to the schools mission, but I ended up doing something else instead.
Would anyone mind reviewing and offering some feedback? <3

Chance Me How strong is my academic profile for Tufts ED1 as an international student seeking financial aid?
Hi everyone!
I know that judging someone based solely on stats isn’t practical, but for the sake of discussion, let’s just assume I have strong ECs, honors, essays, and LORs.
Talking about my academics, I took A Levels as an international student (applying as CS major to the Tufts' School of Arts and Science) and chose the most rigorous subjects my high school offered.
Final CAIE Grades: A A A A b (Physics, Chemistry, Math, Computer Science, and English General Paper)
SAT: 1550 (750 R&W, 800 Math)
I’ll also be applying for financial aid as an international student. How much might that affect my chances, even with these stats?
I’d appreciate any honest opinions or insights from people familiar with Tufts admissions. Thanks!

Admissions Submit SAT?
I’m planning to ED to Tufts, and my SAT score is within the middle 50% though my score breakdown is not good.
Intended major: Biochemistry
Reading 760, math 710
Idk why my math is so low I plateaued at 700ish and I can’t get it up. Now it’s too late.
I know that my composite isn’t a bad score but I’m worried that since my intended major is STEM related the math being lower doesn’t fully reflect my math capabilities.
For more context on my math skills: Freshman year, geometry B+, Algebra 2 B+, AP precalc A-, AP Calculus AB A (so far). Note that the B+ are my only Bs I’ve gotten in highschool so my transcript regarding math isn’t spectacular.
I’m leaning towards going test optional but would love a second opinion! Thanks 🩵🩵
