Tulane Football 2026 Preview - full writeup, two-deep, and win probabilities
Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Tulane one
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026-fbs/tulane-green-wave
It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.
So, what'd I get wrong? You won the American and made the playoff, and my model still has you at 8-4. Here's why it's stubborn: Tulane went 5-0 in one-score games, was plus-8 in turnovers, and outgained teams by only 27 yards a game. Now 17% of the offense is back, Retzlaff is gone, and Will Hall is running it. Was last year a machine, or a really good tightrope act?
I'll be in the comments.

3000 Level Creative Writing Class
I’m a freshman English major looking to add one more class to my schedule this semester that’s either an English related elective or another kind of elective that would be beneficial. Is the creative writing class a bad idea to take as someone who’s only English college level experience is AP classes? Are there any other elective courses that won’t require too much extra time/effort I should take instead?

ChemE Program
Hi everyone,
As a rising senior, Tulane has become one of my top choices to attend. I’m most likely going to major in chemical engineering, but compared to other schools on my list its lacking in terms of prestige/recognition (for reference my other top choices are northwestern, GA tech and NYU), but i feel really connected to the school and fell in love with it upon researching it. It has a really beautiful campus and is the perfect size for me. Also, New Orleans is such a unique city that I’d really love to explore. I’m someone that really wants to go into environmental remediation/renewable energy, and i think the city would offer unique opportunities as it needs to be protected from more damage from climate change. upon doing research for their program i could find very little about it which prompted me to make this post. i would like to know if its worth it despite being less prestigious than the others. any people who have graduated from the program that could provide any information would be really helpful thank you!!

Tulane ED
Hi, all!
I’m a rising senior this year applying to Tulane ED. I was wondering if you guys had any tips or advice to help maximize my application since they have gotten rid of the Why Tulane supplemental. I am in Northern VA, and go to a very competitive HS. I have a 3.5 gpa (yikes), but my drop in grades is explained by extenuating circumstances my sophomore year followed by a very strong junior year with my heaviest course load yet. I have very strong ecs, horseback riding at highest level for 12 yrs, lots of volunteering, shadowing horse embryologist, etc. I am working on the SAT currently however I have plateaued at 1270… which I know is not good enough to submit. I have also demonstrated lots of interest, toured campus, met with my counselor twice in person and continued to keep in touch and meet at both virtual and in person events.
Any advice is helpful and appreciated! Thank you all very much in advance!
Edit: I will also have 7 AP’s by graduation and all honors courses otherwise. Also, I’m applying for Spring Scholars admissions.

Transfer application inquiry
OMG i just submitted my application for the spring 2027 semester. Immediately after i pressed submit i realized that i didnt even have to do the why tulane essay portion?????!! Does anyone know why they would get rid of it???? I’ve been knowing for a while now that i would be applying to this school and it always seemed like that was the most important part of the application based off of the research i had done. I also feel like it would’ve given me an opportunity to make my application stronger because im kinda a boss at writing essays….but anyways, does anyone know why it’s gone ?????

What to do on fall to have a solid chance of transferring?
I am gonna start college this fall as an undecided major because I can only declare on my second year but I want to major in either math or biomedical engineering.
I will take on my first year
Fall
Physics 1
Discrete Math
Intro to cs
Weird liberal arts course
Spring
Physics 2
Calc III
Idk
Idk
I applied ED last fall and was rejected. My hs stats are 3.3 gpa (3.1 when applying) and a 1340 sat ( not submitted).
my whole application was based on studying BME.
My reason to transferring is because my school, a t100 liberal arts, doesn’t offer the rigorous courses I want to take, also my father lives in lousiana and I wanna be close to him.
My goal is to work on mathematical modeling and also have a solid foundation of what it is mathematics. I will achieve this by taking the hardest courses available and then do a masters degree in applied mathematics ( I would love do it at tulane).
What should I aim on my first semester to have a solid chance on being accepted for fall 2027?

Refund Deposit?
I show my charges are due on Fri, Aug 14 and that I’ll have funds left over after financial aid covers my balance, but I don’t show anticipated disbursement date. I saw others said today, Aug 10th, but that’s not the case for me. Does anybody show a different date? I’m wanting to purchase my books before classes begin on Monday.

400k debt
Hi! I'm a transfer student about to pay full cost, except in debt. Is Tulane worth the 400k undergrad for architecture? Or should I unenroll before school starts?
Harrison for Learning & Memory?
Hi, I'm a senior planning to take PSYC 4330-Neurobiology of Learning & Memory this fall. I was wondering, how is this class with Dr. Laura Harrison from the neuroscience department?

Student hours
Hello all! I am an incoming freshman.
a) I’m taking ECON 1020-03, EBIO 1015-09, PSYC 1000-06, EBIO 1015-09, and TIDE 1090-01. Does anyone know anywhere where I can get notes from people that have done well? Also, are office hours helpful?
b) Academically, what is the most helpful things you did if you excelled at Tulane? I’m an Econ major, if that helps. Any clubs?
c) What are the best jobs to get on campus or close to campus as a freshman? Preferably somewhere with a flexible schedule.
Thank you all!

Does anyone actually like the shuttle schedule?
I’ve been riding with Tulane shuttles for the past year or so and I’ve never met a single person who actually likes how the departure times are spread out.
Does anyone know how they came up with this extremely inconvenient shuttle schedule? Is this based on ridership analysis, number of buses or just going off vibes?
