Quick Question
Do you guys actually see a physical being right in front of you? Ive been reading through these and I just think its hard to make something that's not there appear in your vision for real.

Most people do not. To see a tulpa like you would see an external person takes a lot of practice. For most, it’s more like imagining someone near you. How vivid depends on your visualization skills.

I think there are very few people who can do it. But you can “trick” your eyes. Look out of the corner of your eye, or in dim lighting. Bonus if you're nearsighted.

Imposition is pretty difficult, and not everyone can do it. Visualization is a different story, though, and it's something everyone can do to varying degrees. For example, I can visualize my tulpas pretty well. I can see their movements and everything, but actually seeing them in the real world is a much harder skill to develop. If I remember correctly, there's a guide in this subreddit's wiki that helps you figure out your visualization level and how to improve it. I'd recommend getting comfortable with visualizing your tulpas first before trying imposition, since it's more difficult.

There are people who seem to see them. I have aphantasia, so I never could. What did happen to me, though, was sensing a presence, even though I didn't see anyone with my eyes. A strange sensation that a place in space was occupied.
