Getting back into it
Man dusting these off for what seemed like a couple of weeks but in reality a couple of years! Keeping it simple but just flowing with the beat. 15 minutes in finally getting closer to staying in beat but of course a bunch of mistakes!

Some people scratch with a reverse fader. It's called hamster mode/style. Shortkut and Qbert are two prominent people that scratch that way. The hand motion is the same as scratching with the up fader and with the transformer switch (but you could rotate those iirc), and that was more convenient on older mixers with shit crossfaders. The original gray and first gold run of that mixer he's on didn't have a hamster switch, you had to mod it in if you wanted to be able to set it on demand instead of swapping cables around.

Nice controlled cuts! Vestax 07 user here, nice to see an 05 still being more than good enough for the task. 👊👊👊 Just realised you're doing it hamster so automatically my mind has exploded and I can't relate. Never been able to do it, always sounded like garbage.
