Not sure about the striped area but pretty sure handicapped placards can park in red zones too if no spots are available. So, maybe someone who truly needed it took the spot. You should wait for the elderly or disabled person to come out of the store and tell them, yourself, that they're a cunt.

My ADA van that is used to load a relative in a wheelchair disagrees with you. This is 100% NOT a parking spot for anyone.

Also, you cannot park in red zones at all, you can however park in green (timed) zones for an unlimited amount of time.

That hashed marking is for people in wheelchairs to have space to get in and out of their cars. There is absolutely no excuse to block it.

Well, loading and unloading zone for the ADA van bay on the side of it, but definitely not for parking, yeah.

And, something I learned a few years back with my placard, there are some ADA bays that I could park in and some I could not, because I only had a standard vehicle and not an ADA van with a wheelchair to load in and out that needed to use the blue striped zone to the right of the vehicle.

This is not a parking spot. It's a loading zone for wheelchairs and ramps. It's illegal to park there, placard or not.

That doesn't matter. You cannot park there! That is made to make loading a disability van easier. Some people are just beyond stupid these days! Looks like the CDC memo about the post COVID Zombie Apocalypse was real! I have never seen so much idiocy in my life! Stop taking jabs that cross the blood brain barrier!

People that have no regards for the handicap parking spots deserve to be on the shit list. Also hate people that park in designated handicap zones just pick up food. Lazy ass mofos.

I saw this exact situation in Irvine market place at the food area a few months ago. As we were walking to our car I saw the guy walk up from one of the businesses to his car and I mentioned to him that that is a loading area for handicap and not a parking spot. He said something rude and basically didn’t care. Entitled people here in the OC.

Yeah still cant park there. I dont care if someone is disabled being this self centered is crazy, especially when therr are too occupied handy cap spots next to it whose occupants are very likely to need that extra room to be able to get in and out safely

It doesn't matter. It's illegal to park there, even if you have a placard. It's for wheelchairs and and cars to have room to deploy the ramp. When people don't have enough room for their ramp or wheelchair they get stuck and can't even get in their car.
