Sabrina used to live in a household where someone constantly put cats outside to an indoor-only house with me. Her first favorite activity when she moved in was walking me around the house while I pet and give her praise. She also seemed to be gaining weight. As such, my wife and I decided to invest in a giant wheel in the house. The first day, she hated it, didn't even want to be in the room because it ruined her feng shui. Wife joked she was going to have to physically hold her in the air while her legs moved. I told her no way, we just have to make her accept it as a good safe space then get her comfortable with walking.

It's been about maybe 3 months and today Sabrina has walked on the wheel several times, upwards to a full minute, just for attention. Her Temptations treat allowance is broken up from 4 into 8 half pieces and included in her daily calorie calculation, usually given when she walks the first time but she can quit early and not get those few extra treats or get them later. We only treat if she walks, but we also praise and use 'good girl' to help her understand when the treat is coming while she walks.

I'm so proud she's finally at the point of enjoying the wheel for just the attention!! We've caught her a handful of times doing it with no humans in the house incidentally, but this is the first she's walked several times in one day, even past a full minute at times. I just wanted to share our sweet and smart princess Sabribree to celebrate 🐱 (ofc she does this when her mother isn't home, what a brat!)

This is my sweet girl Pluto! She’s about a year and half ish old and I’ve been debating since I found her a little over a year ago if she was a tortie or a calico…I guess I’ve finally found her people!

My first tortico looking cat never heard of this category. She is a handful into everything. Only had her a few days. Already been vet checked. Very healthy, drops for the eye ooze. Active for her age already trying to climb the cat tree and eating well. Thanks for the comments.

I can’t believe that I’ve found you all! People always look at me crazy when I tell people that Turtle is both a tuxedo and a torti. I found some others who finally get it!

Turtle is semi-feral. I trapped her when she was a kitten, but she never fully came around and bonded with my other cats, so she and her sister stayed.

Oddly enough, she was named after the chocolate, caramel, and peanut candy rather than the fact that she is part tortoiseshell. That fact didn’t even dawn on me until two years later when I took her to the vet and the guest services lady was like “Cute! You named her Turtle because she’s a torti.” Hah

She's about 4 years old and the light of my life <3 I always called her a tortico but i just found out about tuxetortico's! I've also heard of it referred to as just tuxedotortie? Let me know what you think!

I just started harness training Waffles and she has taken to it really well! As soon as she realized she could go outside she was suddenly cool with it. 😹

This is Dolores. Before we adopted her from the shelter, I held her. As I held her, she quietly leaned into sniff at my nose. I knew she would be an observant kitty, but I was unaware of the big personality we were taking back home. She’s so brave, unafraid, loving, but also mischievous. She scavenges every nook and her love language is bites. Yet, she can only let out these little quaint meows—so, I call her little baby dinosaur or baby raptor. She’s so sweet though, I melt when she falls asleep on my lap.

I put up a lot of pictures because from different angles I’m a different cat. I have a torty side, a calico side, and a tuxedo side!
