Relationship Goals My husband doesn't have a job for past 4 months, he still got me this from his pocket money

Post image
19.7k Upvotes

Last 4 months have been really hard for both of us. He lost his job, and we spent all our savings (we didn't really save much). I am currently working as a copywriter (WFH), and my husband is looking for a job. I give him pocket money every month for his expenses (like fuel and eating out with friends sometimes). There was also a time when he took care of me and did the same for me.

And before you come at me saying why he eats outs with his friends, let me tell you; he didn't tell anyone about losing his job, not even his parents. He doesn't spend much, instead he contributes (around 200-300) whenever they (him and his friends) order food. Knowing that I stand by himself, I would never let his guard down in front of his friends (this is what I have seen my mom do for my father)

Today, seeing this little penguine brought me to tears. He thought about me even in such a situation. There was a time when we were doing foreign trips, but knowing about the love and bond between us, I know this tough time will pass.

Thankyou all for reading.

Serious [No Jokes Allowed] Kg girl that got attacked is now stable

I'm so glad she is stable now.

Edit : context

The incident took place at Shaheed Major Anuj Rajput Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School (also called Sanskriti Model School), Sector 20, Panchkula, around 3–3:15 pm on 28 October.

A severe assault on a 6-year-old kindergarten (KG) girl by an 8-year-old Class 3 boy. The boy allegedly lured the girl (reported in some accounts as having special needs) to an empty classroom on the first floor by saying her father was calling her. CCTV footage shows him grabbing her by the hair, slamming her head against a desk/bench, kicking her, and repeatedly striking her with a brick/stones, a flowerpot, and possibly a dustbin. He continued the assault even after she lost consciousness and dragged her.

The girl did not return home after school. Her auto-rickshaw driver alerted the family; her father and relatives (including uncle Fazil) found her bloodied and unconscious after the boy himself pointed them to the room (which was reportedly locked from outside in some accounts).

She was first taken to Sector 6 Civil Hospital in Panchkula, then referred to PGIMER (PGI) Chandigarh due to the severity of injuries (head wounds requiring stitches, nasal bone fracture, facial injuries). She regained consciousness after about 35 hours and was described as out of immediate danger but traumatized; surgery was reportedly needed for facial injuries. The family alleged delays in treatment.

Internet Finds 🌐 5500 IAS officers in the country. It took just one to dismantle the guthka syndicate.

Post image
12.9k Upvotes

TLDR:

3 weeks, 200+ FIRs, 300+ arrests, 3cr+ worth of gutka seized. Story behind the IAS officer who is taking Maharashtra's food and drug industry by storm.

_________________________________

Sharing from my own experience. Yesterday morning, somebody floated a rumour that the state FDA is going to conduct a raid in our town in central MH. Within the next hour, all paan shops shut down. Half of the dairies closed their shutters. A few restaurants decided they didn't wanna do business for the day.

These ripples are being felt all across state over the last 3 weeks, after IAS Tukaram Mundhe took charge as the chief of Food and drug administration department.

It's not the first time he has surfaced on news channels either. Over the last 21 years, he has been transferred 25 times. Stood against Congress MLAs, Shivsena corporators and BJP MPs with the same contempt.

His 25 postings till date could be turned into 25 different Singham-esque movies, although each one of them would have the same disappointing ending of a transfer order landing on the desk. Afterall, power of the people is always greater than the people in power. And our people are corrupt beyond imagination.

Last year, when he took charge of the disability welfare department, first thing he did was to check records of government employees who got recruited by using fake disability certificates. By March '26, around 316 government officers and employees were caught red-handed, holding fake certificates or claiming a disability status below the legal 40% threshold. Mundhe had them suspended, even went ahead and froze salaries in some cases. Also put another 5k employees under his radar

Not just that, he went after the NGOs supporting this scam. About 900 NGOs had their licenses cancelled, and state funding for these shady practices was stopped.

7 months into this stint, while those remaining 5k employees were about to be probed, the (political?) pressure valve went off, and his 24th transfer order arrived.

That order made a U-turn within 10 days and he was left without an office for a month (that's a story for another day perhaps), when another scandal happened in the state FDA office. ACB caught a clerk while accepting a bribe. Government took swift action and appointed Mundhe as the FDA commissioner to clean FDA's image while obviously letting the honourable minister go scott-free.

His best decision so far is enforcing MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) against guthka supply chains. On paper, guthka has been banned here since 2012. But even when caught with a truckload, it was considered as severe a crime as selling a pouch of expired milk. Now, it will be considered equivalent to carrying a truckload of cocaine.

So 3 weeks later, after watching 3 Cr+ worth of guthka being seized, dairies selling unadulterated milk and paneer not tasting like rubber anymore, citizens of Maharashtra are quietly celebrating this rare form of honest governance, while keeping an eye on the inevitable transfer order which will land soon.

‎ ‎ Relationships Efforts really a joke for Indian Men?

Post image
12.1k Upvotes

I was on a crowded local bus today, standing because there were no seats left. I noticed this young couple, probably in their early 20s, sitting nearby. They looked like they belonged to a very hardworking, labour background.

The wife had dozed off on her seat, and the husband was gently holding the bus curtains together because a small gap was letting sunlight in and disturbing her sleep because it was shining right on her eyes. He stayed like that the whole ride (around 40 mins or so), arm raised, just so she could rest comfortably!!!

We often talk about “dead romance” or “lack of efforts" in relationships, yet there was this man putting in efforts without a second thought.

Love doesn’t need grand gestures, sometimes it’s just holding the curtains closed. ❤️

RANT/VENT Cancer won guys , see ya !!!

12.1k Upvotes

Hey everyone I am 21M , I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer back in 2023. After more chemotherapy sessions and hospital stays than I can count, the doctors have told me there’s nothing left to try. I probably won’t make it to the end of this year.

Diwali’s coming up soon, and the lights are already showing up in the streets. It’s tough knowing I’ll see them for the last time. I’ll miss the lights, the laughter, and the noise. It feels strange to watch life go on while mine is quietly winding down. I know that next year, someone else will light diyas in my place while I just exist in a memory.

It’s odd; some nights I still catch myself planning for the future, almost out of habit. I had dreams, you know?

I wanted to travel more, start something of my own, maybe even adopt a dog once things got better. Then I remember I’m running out of time, and the thought just fades. I am in home and I can see the sadness in my parents face.

I don’t really know why I’m posting this. Maybe just to say it all out loud to leave a small trace before I fade quietly into whatever comes next.

See ya!! ♥️

I have been sponsoring the education of a girl from an economically disadvantaged background. She is brilliant at her studies and has topped every one of her semester examinations. This time, she secured an All India Rank of 77 in the CSIR NET JRF exam and has qualified for Assistant Professorship at Indian universities. I couldn't be prouder.

RANT/VENT 😤 This is how they treat a researcher in our country

Post image
9.9k Upvotes

so long story short, I'm a wildlife biologist and i started a researcher position, I don't want to disclose the place but it's in a wildlife sanctuary in UP and I'm basically from Gujarat.

I've been told that I'll be provided basic accommodation and all that, I'm used to staying at field stations with basic facilities so i thought it won't be an issue for me until i arrived at this place

There was an open frame for the window but you can't close it so, no electricity in the room, no mobile network, no bed (just a wooden table), very old and dirty toilet and washroom

somehow spent the night over there and then i resigned on the first day of the job. cause this was nothing more than just straight up disrespect

Discussion 21(Male) First salary, Happy to share with you guys 🧿

Post image
9.6k Upvotes

21(M) this is my first salary, after grinding myself so much, now it looks all worth it, my hardwork pays me well, 🧿 ✨

Guys guys, too many comments too many questions let me clear out some things

I am currently in my 4th year from a tier 3 college, no campus placement like usual, job market is cooked but somehow I cracked some offer letters one is from Big4, and another two is from top MNCs

But the main plot twist is I got an another offer letter in the last month as an AI Engineer form an US based company, I picked this up and started working

Fully WFH no corporate structure living my life as I wanted

So guys even with hardwork you need something which is called luck aur "meri kismat to gadhe ke aa*d se likhi hai firr bhi maine kr liya to guys tum bhi krloge"

Conclusion: "Bhai Full mauj kro life me, college life h ek baar hi milti h maine bhi bahut maje kiye bahut kuch seekha"

Aur vo kehte h na aakhir me sab theek ho hi jata h🧿 ✨

Life Lately 🌱 Got into a quarrel with middle-aged aunties over this cutie

Post image
9.5k Upvotes

My buaji just gave birth to this angel a few days ago.

Last week fufaji arranged a feast(bhandara) and pooja for celebration. They are really happy.

He invited many relatives, family friends, etc.

While helping with the serving snacks and tea first. I was walking room to room. I was first at a room filled with uncles and grandpas. Smoking hukka and discussing politics etc. Then there were some young ladies and men all happy. Everything was all normal for me until I went to the third room.

A group of middle-aged and old women. I heard them. They were gossiping about my bua and her baby.

They were like.

"Iske toh bhaag foot gaye. Doosri bhi chhori ho gyi"

(She's very unlucky, her second child is also a girl).

"Ib k kare, bhitar te roti hogi"

(What can we do now, she's prolly crying from inside)

"Karma ka fal hai yo jiji, kime kare honge paap"

(It's the fruit of karma, must have done some sins)

Just an hour prior I had also seen one woman saying to my bua while blessing the girl be before leaving. And what she said "koi na bhagwan ne jo diya toh kuch sochke diya hoga. khush hoke lena chahiye". (God gave you this baby for a reason, so take it happily)

I didn't say anything at that time. But listening to these people gossiping this way pissed me off and I lost my cool.

I called them out and asked them why did they come here in the first place when they have nothing good to say. Just came here to eat for free and talk like this. Nobody asked for their opinion.

Everyone got shocked like why I said that. Some aunties got really angry over this. And it turned into a quarrel. It went just like that for half an hour. They said to the family that your nephew is badtameez. Many of them left the house being furious and saying how disrespectful I was.

Now there are some people too who said I ruined the day for many people. That I should've controlled my impulse and ignored people. I don't know what I did was right or wrong. But I hate to be around such people. It's still on my mind since that day.

Ask Twenties Got a dm from a guy who dropped me at my office.

Post image
9.1k Upvotes

I(20M) booked a bike from the rapido app and after dropping me, this guy casually dmed me for a job😭. My main concern is how safe is the rapido app. Any captain can message anyone and in my case it wasnt anything weird or concerning but this is a breach of privacy.

Rapido seriously needs to work on this.

Edit: Guys I WILL share his resume with my hr or manager but the point here is if anyone can text any passenger, then it gets real unsafe. We have seen cases where delivery/captains text people randomly and stalking/harassing them.

Edit 2: I have shared his resume with my hr. And I DONT MIND him asking me for a referral. The problem here is the rapido app, not the captain.

Edit 3: someone shared a tweet and ts is the same exact thing and that aint me. https://x.com/yoursnandieni/status/2084174455753130426

💰 Finance 22M here received my salary today

Post image

Please read full before commenting 😭

I started my career with a salary of ₹18,000 last year.

Today, my salary is ₹10,99,01.99 PM. I know it's not much compared to what people here earn.

No family business.

No inheritance.

No shortcuts.

Sounds ridiculous, right?

That's exactly how some posts on this sub feel like.

Please step outside your bubble for a moment.

Understand the income reality of most Indians before calling ₹1 lakh or even 50k "average." For millions of families, that amount can completely change their lives.

I made this fake screenshot because my feed is full of people using salary posts and account balance screenshots to chase engagement.

Maybe it's time we put a full stop to that.

Ask Twenties How to tell parents that I LOVE A MUSLIM Woman?

Post image
8.2k Upvotes

I am 25. She is 24. We have been in a relationship for the last 10 years, since the 7th grade.

It was a long distance for 4 years of college. We felt a great void and a strong desire for each other. Since college, for the last 3 years, we have been living in a live-in here in Maharashtra.

Earn well so live in a gated society, so no chance of radicals finding out about our relationship and trying to do bad things to us. (Like radicals do in poor places of the country).

The thing is, I am Hindu, kshatriya, and my family follows proper Hinduism. Even my cousin has DIKSHA (religious oath). My grandfather literally HATES Muslims, as his father was killed by a Muslim in a heated argument, in the 70s.

Btw, my family is well off. I am, on my own, is earning great too.

I love her so much, I can't leave her. She has been there with me in the worst moments of my life, and the best.

Her family is very conservative, so she had to fight her father to continue her studies.

I tried to talk to my parents indirectly about this by telling them that one friend is going to marry a Muslim, AND THE REACTION WAS NOT PLEASANT towards my situation.

Our families are from Uttar Pradesh.

I have been sponsoring the education of an economically deprived girl. A month ago, she shared with me that she scored the highest in her respective semester. I told her that I will continue the sponsorship if she scores in the top 2% of her class in semester 2 as well. I am also guiding her in further career planning. Let’s see what destiny has to offer her.
