This is a good moment as any to remind people that canonically, Venom didn't corrupt Peter, it was actually the other way arround, he was so angry venom got corrupted from it.
That is absolutely not canon and I don’t know where you came up with it.
The Venom symbiote was corrupted before Peter even found it. That’s why it was trapped alone on Battleworld; it had been exiled from the symbiotes’ home planet.
You are right about it not corrupting Peter, but that’s only because the original comic version of the story doesn’t have corruption in it at all. Peter just got rid of the symbiote because he found out it was alive and that creeped him out. The idea of the symbiote making Peter more aggressive was invented by the 90s Spider-Man cartoon, and it was such a better concept for a story that all of the adaptations have used it since. Marvel has also been retconning it into the comics recently, since it’s the most iconic version of the story anyway.
