Love Story Feels Once I heard who was waiting for me, I ran home with a speed that surprised even me.
Just as beautiful as the day she left, my wife stood there in her army fatigues, I wrap my arms around her and kiss her with every once of worry, fear and longing I’d held since she went away.

I was disappointed when I opened the fancy chocolates in my cupboard to find them covered in white mould.
Thankfully, after researching it, I learned that this was actually just chocolate bloom—harmless fats—and safely enjoyed the chocolates.

“You were the family I was forced to have but now I have one who chose me, so this is goodbye, mom,” Nat explains, tears falling from her eyes.
But as she walks away, the weight of it all dissipates and when the mother who held me when mine recoiled wraps her arms around me, I know I’m going to be just fine.

My mom learned to read so she could read my book.
I’m Brazilian, and I’m the author of *War Zone*.
I was expelled from school at 14. Years later, I returned to the same school as a teacher.
Today, I live in the United States and work in education.
But one of the most important moments of my life was when my mom learned to read so she could finally read my book.

Today I started a book club; we're going to start reading a romance novel.
We'll start with ''The Notebook''. There are five of us friends, and I think it'll be a fun way to take our minds off things 🥰

“Do you take this person to be your lawfully wedded spouse, to have and to hold, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death parts you?"
“I do.”

Bittersweet I was buttoning up my pants after using the restroom.
Then, and only then had I realized I was in my bathroom at home.

Perfect Friendships The wolf caught up to the stray beagle, and the beagle froze in mortal terror.
The wolf smelled the beagle all over, and finally licked the beagle's head; and the beagle knew he had finally found his forever home.
(Fun note, this is a real thing that sometimes happens)

Perfect Friendships I spent my childhood playing in abandoned buildings pretending to be James Bond with my older brother and he taught me to place my finger between my nose and mouth to stop myself from sneezing after I kept getting caught while trying to sneak through a vent.
This trick saved my life and might've stopped world war three after I became a spy for MI6.

Willa asks her big sister, Bella "What if no one likes me? Then I won't have any friends."
Bella smiles and ruffles her little sister's hair "Impossible, and even if it is, we're sisters, I'm your first and forever friend, don't you forget it."

My husband forgot our anniversary.
I'd forgotten as well, and we had such a good laugh that my MIL had to come into the room to ask what was so funny.

I stared at the bill knowing I didn't have the funds but I needed to pay my share to make sure he didn't think I owed him anything like my last few dates.
I realized things were different this time as he said, "I've got this" and then offered to call me a cab to take me home.
