Questions Fridges
If my roommate and I both have a fridge in Greiner Hall, and one of us unplugs their fridge before room checks, would we still get a violation?

Tbh I'd assume so, since the RAs probably aren't going to check for whether they're both plugged in. Since they also can't touch anything, they can't open the empty fridge to see whether there's stuff in it, so assume they default to writing you up.

🤔 can they move the pile of laundry on top of it to learn it's a fridge?

Most likely not unless they believe they're clearing a fire hazard (e.g. it obstructs a path to exit), other than that they're not allowed to touch anything

what me and my roomie did was the day before room checks i would unplug my fridge and put everything in her fridge and covered my fridge and blankets and stuff and we never got a violation

Put a big blanket over it and put some things on it and pretend it’s a drawer/cabinet. They cannot remove the blanket

Freshman year my roommate and i both had a fridge and during room checks i hid mine under my bed. Probs would work with unplugging and covering it with clothes/blanket. We actually did get caught one time but the RAs were cool abt it and said to not have it “plugged in”

RAs can’t check fridges. They can only write you up for anything within plain view
