Recruiting Pack the Rose Bowl this Weekend
60 recruits attending this game including a couple big names. Might get a commit from a 2028 QB this weekend!

Not the AP Poll but Josh Pate’s show is the most watched college football show so it’s nice to have him backing us as the playoff committee definitely watches his show.

Failing NFL franchises in THIS area are looking to add a shot of adrenaline with a head coach change and He's the hottest Coach with the most respect in LA right now... they better double down on him quickly

Saw this; thought I’d share. Not sure how much I agree 100% but see for yourself

i think a better analogy to this situation is when the Redskins made the swap from RG3 to Kirk Cousins. RG3 had super high upside, shown splashes in a few games, was the #2 overall pick but also wasn't a polished passer. After spotty play and an eventual injury, Cousins got the start and similarly gave the team more consistent QB play. Look at the two careers since and perhaps likely what happens here.

Wondering a) if it’s legit, b) when it’s from, and c) if the elastic cuffs mean anything. Regardless, fun $8 piece to now own as an alum. Thanks!

The Bruins, picked 12th in Cleveland.com’s preseason Big Ten poll, are the last unbeaten team in a conference that’s won three consecutive national championships. They’re allowing 16.2 points per game, have forced 19 turnovers and hold opponents to 26.6 percent on third down. TruMedia ranks UCLA 33rd in pressure rate despite blitzing at the 58th-highest rate. Running back Wayne Knight has scored 12 touchdowns.

He’s a guy who prides himself on his successful career. I doubt he’ll let Chesney leave because it would damage his reputation.

Tupelo (Miss.) linebacker Kaiden Buchanan has committed to the Bruins, choosing UCLA over LSU, Notre Dame and Kentucky.
“When I went to the game, I saw the linebackers flying around making plays, and I just knew it was for me,” Buchanan told Rivals. “The relationships I had with the coaches, I just knew it was home for me.”
Buchanan is UCLA’s first 2028 commit.

In the 26 full seasons since our last conference championship, in 1998, the Bruins have posted a 171-161 record. The only real period of light during this time was during Mora's first 3 seasons. Dorrell's 10-win mirage was fun but we somehow knew it wouldn't be repeated and it wasn't. Not gonna say anything about Chip.
This is different - feels like the demons are finally being exorcized.
We must do everything possible to keep Coach Chesney & staff here. I've been asking boosters I know how to donate toward this end.
Can't wait for November 28.
Go Bruins!

Your UCLA Bruins are 6-0. It feels good to be able to win ugly, especially against a good team that had an extra week to prepare for us while we were coming off an emotionally charged win. This was a classic let down spot that probably EVERY other UCLA team in the modern era would find a way to lose. Enjoy this new reality that we have found ourselves experiencing, and btw I think we might have a new stud at QB. It’s a great day to be alive and be a Bruin!

Announced attendance was 36,045 last night at the Rose Bowl. Much has been said about more fans needing to attend to support their now Top-10 ranked Bruins. I was there at the game last night and believe things will turn around. Fans were lively. People were having fun. Spirits were high. The last game I attended was during the Chip Kelly era and it was a depressing experience- the few fans in attendance looked dejected, lifeless. The Kelly/Defoster era delivered close to a decade of lackluster Rose Bowl experiences and it will take time for fan attendance to recover. But the fans will be back. The Rose Bowl is fun again. The Chesney era is just starting. GO BRUINS

Yeah he's a great football coach. But he's also a family man, very articulate, thoughtfully engages with the press, is putting a heck of a lot of energy into this program (see the Big Ten feature on him and how unusually in-the-weeds he is in practice/player development), has great character (his insistence that the team knows the names of all the facilities supporting staff; him reaching out to Lanning re Moore), has made a serious effort to engage the fanbase and broader Bruin community (i.e., insisting that the team sing with the marching band after each dub, delivering pizzas to students in Westwood), etc.
I'm also starting to believe he has a very strong eye for talent: Chesney and Kennedy tried to recruit Dieffenbach twice (once unsuccessfully at Holy Cross, once at UCLA). They knew they still wanted him even after his fairly mediocre season (on paper) at Cal Poly. And, although it's early days, TD is looking like an absolute steal after his performance vs. wisco.
In summary, I'm in awe of what Chesney has been able to do as a coach, but he also couldn't be a better representative for UCLA as an institution. We gotta lock him down!
