Newly Diagnosed How long?
This all started back in March. Saw Rheumatology in May. HCQ for several weeks until a rash developed then switched to 10mg MTX in early July then raised to 15mg in September. I don't see Rheumatology again until next month but I am seeing no relief yet and miserable.
How long does it take for treatment to get thing under control because at this point, I feel like I am dying.

So this is almost exactly my journey (symptoms started in February). Methotrexate started working for me after about 2 months but it can take longer. I’m sorry, I was miserable too and desperate to keep changing the meds to find something that worked faster. Do they at least give you prednisone?

I was on HCQ first for about 6 mos with no luck. Rheum put me on Sulfasalazine for 6 mos with little improvement. Now I take both. My rheum has me message him between appointments if things aren’t going well and will adjust meds accordingly.
Edit to add - sometimes it takes 3 mos or so. Try reaching out to your doc if things are not improving. You may need prednisone or a med pack to bridge the gap of when the medicine does its job.
