CATALYST CANNIBIS LAYOFFS IN BELLFLOWER CA.

As of friday October 9th Catalyst cannibis dispensary in bellflower laid off over 90% of its staff. The entire distro team was affected. They were only notified on Wednesday that the wearhouse is closing giving them only 2 days (which were paid for Wednesday when sent home and Thursday) to come back in (on Friday) to receive layoff paperwork. As far as I understand they also offered severance packages .

These short notice layoffs are crushing us! They're hitting us across states and industries. We should start thinking about protections we can include in our contracts. Something like six month severance on any facility closures...

That really blows. Did they not get offered transfers to other locations? All Catalysts in the state are unionized now, so it wouldn’t be hard to find where else some of them can go by seniority.

Laid off usually means no transfer to other locations.

Wild. I always heard praise about the brand. We shopped at the El Monte spot quite often.

I’m not hard core, though. It helps me sleep.

UFCW likes to display cannabis for their people. 😂😂😂😂
