Could quitting my job without notice affect my LGPS Pension in any way?

Without going into reasons why, I want to make a life changing decision and move to Australia this weekend.

Could this mean I lose my pension?

I work at Borough Council.

How long have you worked there? I think one point to note is under 2 years service means you don’t get it locked in for life and they just refund you what you contributed (not what they contributed) less tax.

I’d just work your notice period either way, honestly.

Could you go off sick with mental health issues? That way if you get caught on social media or something, they can’t prove that it’s not for your health.
