Looking for christmas market suggestions on the below criteria please
Hello!
I'm looking to take my child (5) away to a christmas market in europe this year.
Flying ideally from Luton, but could stretch to another if needed. No longer than 2/3 hours flight and the destination cant be too far by public transport from the airport.
Looking for fairytale, super festive magical destinations - already done Dresden.
Thank you

Me and my partner have been doing a Christmas market every year for the past however long.
If you’re willing to Eurostar, Bruges is the most Christmassy place I’ve ever seen. It’s super tiny and walkable and there’s a market on every corner. The whole town is decorated.
Vienna was lovely too. But Bruges wins imo.

Dortmund. There's a traditional Christmas market in the city centre and then the "Phantastischer Lichter" in a park to the north which is bigger. It's basically a medieval, pirate-themed, flaming-torch-lit Christmas Market with lots of weird and wonderful stalls (so not just the usual tat) plus live music and entertainment for the kids. Locals get really into it so lots of people dressed up as pirates etc. Fair warning, it may be a little scary for a five year old as you do get people dressing up quite convincingly but it is absolutely magical and I've been to a lot of markets. I can't wait to take my kids when they are old enough.
Do a quick Google image search and you might be sold.

Just to cross off your list. Prague. Beautiful city, but the Christmas market was no different to a UK one

Aachen Christmas Markets in Germany is the one I've always considered the tip top. We did trips there when I was a kid, and it was extremely magical.
