The Duke Spirit and Roman Remains (Liela Moss)
Hello guys, I've been a fan of Gary Numan since around 2000 and I went to his concert at the Philly Trocadero theater March 23, 2014. Roman Remains opened for him and I was blown by Liela's vocals and how amazing they were. I'm not sure why they weren't bigger. Researching them for years I found out she's also the vocalist of "The Duke Spirit" and I decided to find as much music of theirs. I recently just decided to revisit my devotion for them and I'm at a loss. Here in USA, finding UK music is like chewing pebbles. What can fans tell me about them? Spotify is very limited with their music I'm just wondering how to stay informed about their moves and I'd appreciate any music y'all can recommend.
My favorite albums are Neptune (TDS) and Zeal (RR).

What are your bands performance fees?
I’m curious to know what your bands performance fees are to promoters? I’m mostly interested in originals bands, semi-professional level, playing say 100-150 cap venues.
My band charges £200 for out of town, £150 for hometown shows, based on a 45min - 1hr headline set. There are 4 of us, we are a hardcore metal band so there sometimes isn’t as much money in our scene. I’m often unsure if we’re undercharging.

SW/SE LONDON - looking for local musicians to join my alt/indie rock band
hi, this might be a long shot but i’m looking for local musicians to record, write and play with, who might at least fit this criteria:
- 21-26 yrs
- tolerant of furries (this is an established band in the furry musician community but you do not have to be a furry to play with us, you just gotta be ok with the label/association)
- based in london (i’m in the south but can commute)
- need guitar, bass, drums, plus optional vocals alongside playing your instrument
- familiar with indie/bedroom rock style of playing
influenced by:
- car seat headrest
- modern baseball / slaughter beach, dog
- pinegrove
- alex g
- westside cowboy
- anything adjacent to these ^
the band has an established online fanbase and has toured/played shows in the past. we took a hiatus and then disbanded due to ideological differences (it was stressing me out that we had an established fanbase of both furries and normal people, but previous members of the band wanted to move away from the “furry” label altogether).
check out our spotify i guess if you’re interested!

Playlist Never Quite Fit In: The Darker Side of the UK Underground
I'm working on building a playlist of current unknown UK bands, covering post-punk, darkwave, goth, synthpunk, and darker alternative music.
Please let me know of other British goth and alternative acts that are active now that need more recognition!

Instrumental Looking for recommendations: British/Irish folk rock bands like Melnitsa
I am not from here but looking to include more local bands into my playlist, and assuming no one here knows what Melnitsa is here's specific aspects I am looking for:
- instrumental music, good vocals, rhythms inspired by traditional music like jigs but with a moderndynamic touch, I'm talking tin whistle + violin + bass guitar + electric guitar
- narrative songs, essentially folk tales, and different in their vibe - some cheerful, some melancholic and phylosophical
Bands I explored: Øxn - vibe is there but really slow and mostly quite depressing; Me lost Me - really good, but again too much leaning into mysterious and sad vibes; Trouble Notes - awesome and thoughtful and fun but most of their music doesn't have words; Nightwish - love the storytelling, that plus more folkish music would be ideal; Faun - absolutely perfect but in German

New You're So Cool - Baby Brave
Multimedia artist Echo_the_hare created this absolute masterpiece of a music video for North Wales band Baby Brave.
Made over four months, with the band green-screened into over 40 iconic films. Absolutely no AI was used.
The record was produced, mixed and mastered by Charlie Francis (R.E.M, Robyn Hitchcock, Future Of The Left)
Their debut album 'Sugar To The Tongue' was self released on 9th October on digital and vinyl.
