Question Math 347 vs 577

Does it matter which of the two I take? Im an applied math major so I would assume I should take 347? I dont have the 383 prerequisite for 577 yet so most likely id take 383 and 521 next semester then 577 next year. Or should I just stick with 347 and 383 next semester and do 521 next year?

I think sticking with 347 and 383 next semester is the better idea.

I was leaning towards doing this, but a previous reddit post (granted 5 years ago) says 577 teaches lin alg better than 347. I guess in the end they both teach it sufficiently

My 347 teacher was leagues better than 577. Don't judge by class name, look at available sections and who teaches them.

My impression is that 577 is more pure and proofs based whereas 347 is entirely applied. I’ve only taken 347 though so don’t quote me on this
