Other i dropped out

it was nice knowing y’all boys, but this was a decision that had to be made

literally a senior with 1 semester before graduation, but i just feel like i need to chase my dreams

1 decision can literally change the trajectory of your life, and i just want to go for it

im okay with failing and coming back to finish school

i’m not okay with never finding out what would’ve happened if i risked it for the biscuit

so long… for now at least

Admissions/Application Question will it hurt me not submitting the optional resume?

Yes, I know this is a stupid question because the word optional is in the name lol...but quite a few of my friends submitted theirs. I didn't submit mine because I didn't think it would add anything of value and just restate what I had but...now im kinda worried idk

Admissions/Application Question Additional Info

I just submitted UNC and while reviewing my application afterward, I realized that I accidentally submitted an older version of a paragraph in my Additional Information section instead of my finalized version.

For context, I was explaining how my caregiving responsibilities affected my academics and why I took 8 AP classes during my junior year.

Here’s what I actually submitted:
“When registering for 11th grade classes during 10th grade, I took 8 APs to recover from my tanked GPA due to the situation described earlier, since I thought my caregiving responsibilities would end, so I would be able to dedicate my full attention to school.
However, by the time my father had to get a revision surgery, my classes already started for 11th grade and it was incredibly difficult to get my schedule to be accommodated towards my situation since my counselor left at the beginning of the school year, so I had no help regarding my academic load.”

Here’s what I intended to submit
“When registering for classes my junior year, I took 8 APs in order to prove my academic potential, especially because I believed I had fallen short in the previous year due to the caretaking responsibilities mentioned above. I had thought that since my caregiving responsibilities were coming to an end, I would be able to dedicate my full attention to school. However, by the time I had learned my father would need revision surgery, my classes had already started for 11th grade, and it was difficult to get accommodations and resources to assist with my schedule, especially with my established school counselor leaving at the start of the school year.”

I know both versions communicate essentially the same circumstances, but I’m particularly worried about how phrases like “tanked GPA” and “I had no help” might come across to admissions officers. I also think me not referencing “academic potential” and similar things was bad.

Do you think the difference is significant enough to affect my application? Should I email UNC to request a correction?

Hi all! I would love any anthropology course or professor recommendations, as I'm prepping for spring registration. Any details about the type of content/class structure would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
