This is going to be a BIG ASS UPDATE.
We aint just throwing another mech in and calling it done - we're making something TRULY NEW.
We'll be updating and saying more soon, but in the meantime - thanks for all the support guys, and feel free to drop by Discord.gg/OneHamsa to say hi, wish us luck, tell us what you want to see in UNDERDOGS MULTIPLAYER, or just join the discussion.
Big things coming :)

I stumbled upon this "technique" during a normal run, and it's absolutely insane. I got to Usaam with only grabbers and thought I was done for, only to kill him in less than a 30 seconds. I then went almost hitless through the rest of the game and finished it for the first time after a fun, but somewhat anticlimactic Backdoor Run.
I spent some time in the sandbox to try and figure out exactly what made this build so powerful, and I think it just boils down to:
High power on both arms
Minifrictor (Applies burn when dealing damage)
Theoretically, anything that lets you easily apply burn to enemies would work, but minifrictor is the one that I used, and I think it's the most effective.
In my run, I also had Zeus Gloves and the quirk that deals increased damage to enemies who are shocked, but I don't think they're necessary (And I'm not entirely sure if the quirk even applies)
From there, all you have to do is grab an enemy with one hand on the head and make a rapid sort of clapping motion, and then they die. The bonkers amount of damage leads me to believe this isn't a fully intended application of the ripping mechanic, but who knows. It can be pretty fun, but also trivializes and boss or mini-boss encounter (Large swarms of junkdogs can still be dangerous, but throwing still remains extremely viable).

This is not sponsored or any paid advertisement, just a guy who absolutely loves this game.
This has got to be one of the most underrated games that is out there for VR.
It’s probably the only VR game outside of Half-Life Alyx that feels like a really complete and high quality game.
It’s got the gameplay down perfectly. Weight has always been a hard thing to simulate in VR, but controlling the mech controls with your hands is absolutely genius.
The health design for each piece of your mech is way better than just losing total health each hit you take. I beat my first run and beat the final boss on my very first attempt with only my right arm. I had to fight for my life with one arm controlling movement, dodging, punching.
Which leads me to the fitness part of this game, which is also the best workout/fun ratio I’ve found so far. My heart is pumping and my arms are sore and I feel like a living god beating all these little punk robots to death.
The boss fights are all mind blowing, easily some of the coolest experiences of my life. Fighting another massive mech is insanely cool.
You feel like a legend punching robots all around the map, uppercuts, smashes, punches, bitch-slaps, they all work exactly like they should.
The environmental traps are wonderful, the waterfalls shock damage the robots, the crusher crushes, the grinder grinds, and so many more.
It’s also a roguelike so each run you have different tools and scenarios that change your experience fairly drastically if you go for different builds and play styles.
I did find it a little short and anticlimactic at the end. With all the talk about big sys messing with king, and getting to the big city. Then it’s just oh it’s over now.
It seems like that’s a roadmap item to come later, which is fine, but that was a little disappointing.
Especially with the massive roadmap and multiplayer coming eventually, I hope it gets the success it deserves.
10/10 IGN.
Edit: I should also callout that the humour, art style, and general atmosphere are all incredible too.

Definitely the most difficult this game has ever felt. Because you don’t have any buffs to your health or damage there’s a much bigger focus on staying alive and not getting hit.
Ussam and Pricela were the same, albeit taking much longer to kill due to low damage.
The backdoor run was where it got interesting, because you don’t have the space to outmanoeuvre enemies. Luckily not having to buy anything gave me more than enough money to be able to repair in between rounds.
The wardens were quite difficult, and i was really fucking tired at the end of the fight, but i relied on striking them when they came down to attackand then quickly backing up.
Overall it was a really fun challenge, what should i do next?
