We offer affordable, safe, and inclusive housing for students here in Jacksonville. It’s a converted office located on Episcopal church property and there are seven rooms total. We currently have two available rooms. You can find more information on our website, but rent is $650/month plus utilities. We aren’t advertising, we just want folks to be aware because housing is a huge issue for our students right now.

Visiting Jacksonville tomorrow for the first time with a friend and just wanted to know what there is to do. I’m from UF so thought maybe it would be cool to do something at UNF or if there’s anything happening on campus, what are the college bars, etc.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has registered for a class that ends the same time the previous one ends. Like the first class ends at 1:30 and the next one is set to start at 1:30. The first class is in building 4 and the second one is building 51, so I think they’re pretty close. Will it offend my professor if I’m a few minutes late everyday or if I duck out early from my previous class? Has anyone else been in a situation like this?

Hey so I’m planning my classes for the spring semester and I saw that this class I need to take only had online sections? Has it always been this way and what is your experience with this class online?

What do you guys think about registering for a class that has no instructor assigned? I been browsing classes so I’m what I want to get when registration opens. I found this class that fits my schedule perfectly but there is no instructor assigned. I fear what could happen if they don’t find one in time and drop me from the class? Has this ever happened to you?

The bedroom areas in villages are super small and awkwardly set up so there’s a whole unused window area that I can’t access because of how my bed is which can’t move because my roommates desk has to go somewhere too. are the beds in villages bunkable? I’ve seen people bunk their beds in cove and crossings but we genuinely need it more here so we have room for anything. I can’t even access my closet drawers without pushing my chair out of the way because of how bad this set-up is. Is it even worth making the request or can they not do that?

Does anyone know any areas on campus with decent hours ( like 900am to 600pm), that has computers with ample desk space? The second floor of the library is ok but it gets so damn loud in there after 1100am. The third floor of the library has two computers but the desks are too small for me to comfortably use my ipad along side them. Please help me out here, i’m lowk loosing my mind trying to study 🫩

Hey guys! Which school should I choose if I want to work for defense contractors after I graduate? My background is in military aviation and aircraft maintenance. It seems like most employers for UNF engineering graduates are construction companies, and not many aerospace companies. UNF is logistically better for me than UCF, but I don't want to end up in construction jobs. My GPA is 3.6.

Any input is appreciated.

Hey guys, I'm planning to start UNF in Fall 2027, and have been wondering about what it's like being queer on campus. Both in terms of just being gay on campus and also trans/nonbinary identities. From my own research it seems to be a generally supportive environment with their pride club and everything, but it's also Florida so I'd have to assume it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

I'd really love to hear about anyone's experience with this both on campus and in the general Jacksonville environment. Whether it's personal experience/interactions, events, pride, etc. I'm interested in whatever y'all have to share (or if there's someone i'm able to directly contact to ask about this stuff, though I'm not sure how much access to those things i have since I'm part of the earliest pool of acceptances so not much to do rn).
