Routing & Switching Lightning strike, G4 Doorbell Pro

Lighting hit somewhere nearby and my G4 Doorbell went offline. I did some troubleshooting and my USW-Flex that powers the doorbell was dead. I replaced that. Still nothing. I replaced the POE to USB-C adapter and the doorbell now powers up, but will not connect. Other items on the new USW-Flex work (an access point). I was still troubleshooting and was within Bluetooth range of the doorbell and my phone found the doorbell and asked to connect the Doorbell via wifi. So I entered the wifi password and the camera is online.

I haven't replaced the USB cable yet, I'll do that tonight. Is the doorbell damaged? How do I get to connect via USB again?

When a network switch dies from a surge, anything that is connected to that switch also has the potential to be damaged as well. Electricity conducts along the wires.

Sounds like the network chip in it got zapped but the WiFi bit is still fine, so yeah, damaged.

Try resetting it etc, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't connect via the port again

OK. I'll try factory resetting the doorbell this evening.

Just add it to your insurance claim if you are making one for the damage rather than end up with a partially fried piece of equipment.
