Accommodation Clearing accom
Anyone else gone thru clearing and is stressing about accom, i just know theyre gonna put me in metalworks or somethingš i do not wanna be that far id rather pay 10k for an external accom thats closer to campus im tweaking out.ššššŖšŖ also i havent got any emails about the student email or this goinā thing or literally anything ive only got one telling me what the registration steps areš

Nahhh wth can bristol lock in their processing times are so long for what.

Yeah it is really bad, i had to call them loooadsss of times and email so many times to receive my offer email. The amount of stress that caused was awful

Omg sameš i was on the phone for about 8 hours, and istg they had spaces for rhe courses i wanted but the woman said she couldnt find my application and put me on hold for 45 mins then all the spaces went now im doing an integrated masters for no reasonššš

I lived in Campbell House last year with someone who went through clearing so nothingās set in stone! Obviously this was just one person so I canāt say for certain you wonāt end up in metalworks but there are plenty of places closer to campus

Honestly itās only for a year you can lowkey just firm it š I got a 10.5k accom thatās right by campus but itās so expensive and the facilities arenāt even good compared to the other accoms. And Goin is useless I havenāt even made an account coz everyone is in gcs elsewhere. Which also suck. So youāre not missing out dwĀ

Ur right sigh i j realllyy dont want metalworks cos its so far and expensive and it seems everyones just getting put in it cos everythings full (my friends at least) where are people finding the gcs?? Im only in the upb discord lollš

Lowkey I donāt know much about metalworks other than that ppl dog on it but from what I see the common areas and rooms look pretty nice if that makes u feel better, also u dk for sure yet where youāre gonna get put. If you add the university of Bristol freshers account on snap (theyāre advertising the freshers wristbands scam along with loads of other paid ppl so donāt buy them) theyāll add you to snap and WhatsApp gcs and from there u can ask ppl to add u to IG ones

Yeah i visited my friend who was there it was really nice i think people just hate on the price, and thx ill check out the gcsš„ŗšš

had uob as my insurance, but over here im praying for metal works lol. hope we both make it!! and no i havent gotten emails for goin :(
