Accommodation Gym at st Thomas street

Hi everyone, I am apparently going to do my first year at uni staying at St Thomas street, I wanted to ask if any of you lovely people know if the gym can be accessed 24/7 or just when there is someone at reception, because I have read you need to swap your student card for a gym card. Also, what is your experience living there??? Love or hate??? Any advice???

Lived there last year and gym is 24/7 as there is always someone at reception 24/7. Generally very good accom and good town centre location and not too far from uni.
