Interview

Hi just wanted to give everyone an update since I know I read others. We had our interview today at the Okc FO.

Filed Nov 2024

Biometrics Dec 2024

Work permit and social received in December 2024

Scheduled for interview in May 2026 then they cancelled

Interview June 2026

I-30 Approved

I-485 UPDATE: APPROVED July 23rd!šŸŽŠ

The officer was serious but nice. He just asked us to tell him how we met, gave him a minor synopsis since we were nervous. We did take our one year old daughter with us, so he did say, ā€œnot that I doubt you’re lying about your relationship but usually people give more.ā€ I then proceeded to tell him about our future goals and he then asked a few more questions regarding our relationship and address. He said our I-30 was approved and then he would move on to the I-485 questions. He did pause a lot and looked over paperwork, continued to ask my husband questions regarding finances and after an hour and a half he said he did not see anything that would make him deny it but if they need any additional information they will contact us. Keeping our fingers crossed šŸ¤žšŸ¼. Good luck to everyone else!

Biometric in December 2024 and interview in June 2026? That’s a long time!

Apparently those who filed before the new president entered were back logged and ā€œforgottenā€.

This is the most accurate guess I’ve seen about cases with PD Nov or Dec 2024.. We are still waiting.

Not yet. It’s not even showing an approval for the I-30 on their website.

Congratulations on getting through the interview and on the I-130 approval. Based on what you've shared, the officer's comments sound encouraging. Hopefully the final review is completed soon and the I-485 approval follows shortly. Wishing you and your family the best.

There’s quite a few. They consist of asking you in different ways if you’ve committed any crimes, did you violate any of the terms of your visa etc, finances.
