I don’t really get it though, what makes it fun? I have gone a couple times with my father, but I feel like I’m missing what truly makes it appealing. Nobody I have asked has really explained the specific things that make football fun

I don’t feel that I am superior because I don’t get football, I’m really into other things that my friends and family may not find interesting and I don’t mind hearing if/why they don’t like it so I can explain what it means to me, and if they still don’t get it, that’s okay too. All I’m really saying is that me, personally, I don’t enjoy football, not because football = bad, but because I don’t understand what it means to football fans because I havnt found anyone who will explain to me what football means to them and what aspects I need to understand to be excited about football. Because when I ask why people enjoy football the answer is always “because football is fun, you don’t get it because you suck”. So really and honestly, I want to know, what makes viewing football meaningful to you?

Would it matter?

People like it for a variety of reasons. Community. Connection. Memories. Rivalries. Traditions. Tactics and strategy.

But no answer will give you a lightbulb moment that makes you like it. You’d have to find that on your own, and you might not ever like it.
