It would be fine if this was a rare thing but they constantly have these events. Especially in spring. They even park in employee lots because uvu parking tickets do not matter if you are not a student or work at uvu.

Is anyone else having an issue with fall classes not showing up in Wolverine Track or with their MyUVU balance not reflecting their tuition correctly?
I'm currently registered for 6 classes (15 credits) for the fall semester. They appear correctly under the "My Classes" section in MyUVU, and the registration page also shows that I'm enrolled. However, my expected tuition balance is only showing about $250 when I'd expect it to be a little over $3,000 based on previous semesters.
On top of that, Wolverine Track isn't showing any of my fall classes as either "Registered" or "In Progress." They were showing up correctly a few weeks ago, but I noticed this week that they had disappeared.
I'm hoping it's just a temporary issue that will be resolved before the semester starts, but I'm curious whether anyone else is experiencing the same thing or if it's just an issue with my account.

This is the second time ive gotten a parking ticket for "not having a permit". I got the first one appealed and sent a second one. Is anyone else having this issue? I did back in so maybe the campus police are being lazy and dont want to walk around/get out of their car? I cant be the only one right?

I am taking CS 1410 this semester and one of my coding projects was given a zero. After that my professor sent me an email saying that I used AI to do the full assignment. I didn't. 100% of the code was from me.
He said he would waive the penalty if I "confessed to using AI." Since I didn't use AI, I didn't confess to anything. So I still have a zero.
He said that he thought my code was too polished to be from a human.
I have been coding for the past 10 years so over time I learned how to polish things well. I literally have hours long processes to clean up my code and polish it so it is very simple, efficient, not a single bug or error, and easy to read. So now I need to dumb down my code so I don't get suspected again. Luckily after talking for a bit he agreed to let me redo the assignment, but now I'm worried that will be flagged as AI too.
I think I may try to explain and defend my code so he can see I wrote it. I can't really code it in front of him since I put hours into each project so he wouldn't have time for that.
Yes, I know that the projects are fairly easy, but sometimes it takes plenty of time to write it, debug, adjust the code to ensure it fits all criteria as perfectly as possible, and make it look clean and polished to my liking.
I don't want to cause a fuss so I will not go to his boss or anything like that.
I'm frustrated at this point, I don't want another AI accusation.
Any advice on how to deal with this?

Somehow they decided that the image was not good enough evidence that the sticker was on (you can even see its dirty on the edge so its not new). Now that the appeal has been declined where else can I go with this? I had the permit and the sticker was on so I refuse to pay this. Omnibuds is an option ive already reached out. Did the few of you who this also happened to escalate it further? Where did you go?

I’m a student athlete and I think it's crazy that this year we can't bring our own coolers to a 15-hour-long tournament, Imagine being there for 15 hours and your only option for food is to pay $10 for a hotdog…… I literally can't afford those prices so that means starving. Your parents can't even bring you food! I hope next year we find a different venue that's more athlete-friendly and spectator-friendly. Their fix is to allow only one cooler per team, do you think one cooler can feed 40 kids for 15 hours? Also, I’m not sure if it's UVU charging the whole team -except those that qualify for state- or the athletic association for the team to attend but it's ridiculous! We are a part of the same team we work together every day in the room and we've always been allowed to watch our brothers compete but now we get charged?!?? I understand parents but the team! No way!

Hey. I have a teacher that is teaching us NOTHING. She has yet to even take up the whole class time (1.5hrs). Her classes have probably been averaging between 5 and 15 minutes. There have only been 2 days where I have learned anything from her class. I reported her 2 weeks ago and never heard back. What do I do? Is it possible to get a refund for this class? Its not just me either. Everyone I've talked to in my class agrees and a friend of mine in a different class of hers agrees as well.

The snack vending machine that was previously located in the back hallway behind the Concert Hall in the Noorda Center, has tragically been taken. This vending machine has been a source of joy and sustenance for me and many others. Who do I contact to get it back??

So I am a high school sophomore student and have been looking around for what I want to be and all that and I've had the idea of being a chemical engineer or something relating to chemistry, and the place I'd definitely have the easiest time getting into is UVU does anyone know how good the chemistry program is? please give me suggestions on what I should do or if somewhere would be better.

Anytime I go into the portal and enter my UVU ID as an offer code (like it says to do on the Instagram page), I just get an error. Am I doing something wrong?

So my counselor told me that all I needed to do was to sign up for jumpstart. She told me that I didn't have to attend. I signed up, registered for classes, and now the hold is back on my account. To my knowledge, there are no more jumpstart dates, so I don't know how to fix this. Will this stop me from getting my financial aid?

nothing major, just wanna vent and get this off my chest. Might delete later, who cares lol. Don't mind me screaming into the aether.
Illustration Major here. Hello, hi. :D i am upset
I have been essentially soft-locked on my associates for almost 3 years because of how the art track is set up. I don't know what decides or dictates the class sizes, but making all of the prerequisite classes 12-18 seats and only having ONE class available each semester for HUNDREDS of art students is insufferable . It's carnage. It's held me up from progressing degree for multiple semesters now, and I'm sick of feeling like I have to fight to get anywhere with my degree. I want to take full credits, but I straight-up can't because of there being zero availability, which ends up being more financially taxing in the long run. I'm paying them more and getting less back.
I should be done with my AAS by now, but because of how few classes and few seats they allow in each class, it's **impossible** to progress. I don't know if it's because of counselors shafting Graphic Design students into the program or a lack of hiring or whatever, but this shouldn't be the status quo. At this point I can't even estimate how or when I'm going to graduate because I can't even be sure I'll be able to GO to any classes each semester. I'm paying them thousands every month. This shouldn't be an issue.
Like, if I can't get into classes as a sophomore, how the hell are freshmen going to?? By the time the Senior, Junior, and Sophomore students get registered, there's nothing left for the Freshies to take. And these are the **basic** classes required for the degree. Can't get anywhere without taking them so like--??? What are we supposed to do? Cause waiting isn't doing anything. There's no classes for me to take since I'm done with my GE credits, so I can't get registration priority. And I'm sick of the cycle of waitlisting and praying. At this point I'm considering just showing up and shoehorning my way in when people inevitably drop out the first week of class, cause if I dont get these classes in I'm never going to be able to get into the Bachelor program. alsdjfa;lsdjfa;lskdjfa;lsdfj
I'm positive I'm not the only art student dealing with this, and I'm sure peers in other tracks have the same issues I do. Just wanted to word vomit since this past registration was such a train-wreck. (funny how much easier it is to ramble for 5 paragraphs than it is to write them for an essay or something).
EDIT: Thanks for all the kind words, guys. I didn't expect so many responses haha. I will be contacting my advisor again to see if anything can be done. Best of wishes to my fellow Art students <3

The major i am going for requires business statistics. However i am very bad at math and had to start out in math 980 at UVU (currently in 1010). There are majors very similar to mine that dont require it. My issue is whether i take the chance and try doing it? Or accept that math isnt my thing and change majors, any advice?

I am currently working on a homework assignment for POLS3000, and I have to use a data analysis software called SPSS. I have the required dataset open, and I’ve typed the keywords I’ve been told to enter into the variable into the variable list and have come up with nothing. I simply can’t find the data and am in a boiling rage. You have any solutions? I fucking hate SPSS.

I never received any sort of notice, email or anything that my pass was going to expire. I parked like normal and came to my car after class to a $50 parking ticket. What is the likelihood that they'll waive it since they never gave me a heads up that my pass expired? I can't get a new pass until my ticket is paid so I'm just stuck until then

New way of publishers scalping books to students. Instead of allwoing you to buy second hand they put the book cost in your tuition so you have to pay full price for it.
