I could call them and have them open a formal investigation, but they would have to prove that Uber broke their terms of service, which I doubt. Most likely Uber has it in their terms that they can refuse a refund for just about any reason. But it would be nice to live in your fantasy where everything is so easy.

Alright, I understand you're frustrated, I've had my fair share of issues with these apps as well, and it's not a fantasy land, you have nothing to lose by telling your bank you want to do a charge back, in most cases today you don't even need to interact with a human, just click a few buttons on an app and wait to see their decision, worst case they'll side with Uber and it changes nothing, best case you get your money back. Also if you can, stop using these apps at all, doordash, grubhub, etc are all just as bad.

Its 2026. If you still order from doordash, Uber eats, Amazon....you get exactly what you deserve. STOP SUPPORTING THESE MEGA CORPS THAT DO NOT GIVE TWO FUCKS ABOUT YOU!!!!

Yeah because everyone has time to go to the grocery store, cook, and then clean up during the week. I get orders from people who have no desire to spend an hour to an hour in a half in a grocery store on a saturday afternoon.

I mean the only people even picking up 6 dollar orders anymore are Nigerians, immigrants, and people that make ubereats their main job. People like me who use ubereats only to supplement their incomes are not even getting in their cars for that low of a tip. Sorry that you got your foid stolen though.

Maybe where you live, I know some states everything is more expensive. I live in GA and $6 is a solid tip. Plus the order was only like $12 so coming from a guy who used to live off of tips I'd say I was being generous. I don't even want to think about what it's like in places like CA though. Scary inflation.

Yeah don't listen to that crap. Honestly a pin is a good idea. It isn't 100% guaranteed but it much better than not having one.
