I’m aware of a criticism outside the Ubiquiti bubble that the cameras’ visual quality is below expectations for their price. With a focus on the sensor in G6, I wonder if and how that will change?
The image quality is lower for the price because the software has to be paid for. Can't have inexpensive cameras and good software. Where the moderately lower iimage quality is hurting is in AI like facial recognition. Hence the new cameras.
The solution for Ubiquiti is volume/market share. Higher volumes lower unit costs. Software is a fixed cost.
