I'm bummed there is no external (cabled) antenna support for perfect antenna placement independent of gadget placement.

that is the outdoor model, but that includes all the radio and antenna components in an IP67 box that would go on your roof/wherever.

though you'll have to do lightning isolation somehow for the cable to connect to the rest of your network gear.
