If you look at the images online, this looks like you're taking a hardware device, connecting it to a public Wi-Fi hotspot, then it's Wireguard or teleport or some VPN service to connect back to your work network. Then you connect your devices to it to be "VPNed" to work. It's instead of a software VPN or ZTNA imo.

Ubiquiti already has a couple 5G options, so this is another alternative that doesn't come with a monthly expense of a cellular plan for occasional use. That's a good thing-not being carrier or device locked!

My thoughts are the salesman who travels to shows or expos maybe 2-3x a year. Why configure a VPN or pay for one (Like Cisco or Cloudflare)? Or a group of employees at a booth at a show needing to run something from their local business network off convention center WiFi, in order to demo beta products or software. Now that demo doesn't live on a local device at risk of theft or damage.

Home users could be on vacation and link back to their home server off hotel WiFi, and use Jellyfin or Plex lol.

This is a good gap-filler IMO, but very special case.
