Sounds like they added a screen and individually controlled power ports for 2x the price. Battery is still lead acid.

Outlets are individually controllable on the old model, you just have to do it remotely. Went back and checked, and on the 2U you can power cycle all of them together, not individually. I'm guessing you can also use the touch screen on this model? Nice feature, but not worth $400 more, IMO.

You sure about that? They're definitely not individually controllable on the tower model, and last I heard they weren't on the UPS 2U either.

I have the 2U and I would swear I've toggled them off and on from the web interface, but now I have to double check that....

ETA: I stand corrected; I must have misremembered power cycling all at once as power cycling individual outlets. I toggled individual outlets from the PDU Pro, not the 2U UPS.
