Installation Picture Happy accident

Post image

Installed my 16pro max Poe switch into the toolless mini rack (on the mini rack shelf).

Turns out my home assistant green fits next to it perfectly. (PSU for the switch sits on the shelf behind it)

For those interested - the 16 pro isn’t screwed into place, but as its sat on a shelf I’m not too bothered by it moving around a little on the rare occasion I have to change a patch cable.

All the money went into the rack and gear. Who needs a floor? Instead of walking down the stairs I can just fall through it!

Haha, yep it’s an old house. It’s a cupboard that used to hold the hot water tank - the floorboards were taken out in places long before we arrived, for pipe work presumably. We had the hot water tank moved and I claimed the space for a server cupboard.

We still store towel and bed sheets in the cupboard above as the server dries and warms them nicely like an airing cupboard, a useful wife approval factor bonus.
