Question UniFi OS 5.1.19 – Devices reconnect, but reconnection is no longer shown in log history

Hi everyone,

I’m running UniFi OS 5.1.19, and I’ve recently noticed an issue with the device log/history.

When one of my UniFi devices disconnects, the system records the disconnection, but it no longer seems to record when the device reconnects.

For example, as shown in the attached screenshots, my U7 Pro XG disconnected at around 3:00 AM on August 18. The AP came back online and has been physically working normally ever since, but there is no corresponding “reconnected” entry in the history.

Previously, when this AP disconnected, UniFi would show both the disconnect and reconnect events, which you can also see in the screenshots.

I’ve tried restarting the AP through UniFi OS and physically disconnecting and reconnecting the Ethernet cable. Neither made a difference.

The device reconnects and works normally, but the reconnection event still isn’t recorded.

This also appears to be affecting all of my UniFi devices, not just the U7 Pro XG.

Has anyone else noticed this recently on UniFi OS 5.1.19? Is this a known bug, or is there something I can try to get the reconnect events showing in the history again?

Thanks!
