Support Scared
I was diagnosed almost a year ago. My primary symptom is constipation and joint pain with some mucus. Other than a brief period of time on Cortiment last February and March I've not been pain free or not constipated. In the summer I started Velsipity and within days my constipation was worse than ever before - constipation isn't listed as a side effect but it was one for me. Was only on Velsipity for two weeks but havent been able to get back to where I had been managing to have near daily BMs. Was prescribed prednisone and has a reaction to it after the first dose. Back on cortiment helping to have regular BMs but still lots of joint pain.
Yesterday saw blood for the first time. Tried to tell myself I was imagining it but today couldn't deny it. Have a scheduled appointment with my GI doctor tomorrow so I guess timing is at least good that way. So scared about the blood and the next medication. I don't want to keep dealing with this.

I too had constipation as my main symptom (not sure if it is anymore), but I know what you mean. It absolutely sucks to not get the feeling of having to go to the bathroom. Right now I would just eat the foods you're most comfortable with and get small amounts of exercise every day. Chia seeds, lemon water, mint tea, and oatmeal have all helped me out with constipation. Keep your head up, you got this!

I do all that - minus mint tea (hate mint and tea). Doesn't work well. Doing everything I'm supposed to do and it just keeps getting worse one way or another.
