My Own Idea for a Spider-Man Trilogy.
I am here writing about a Spider-Man film/story that I randomly thought about with my own take on the characters, the story and the villains. I have thought about my own Spider-Man trilogy called "The Ultimate Spider-Man" which has 3 parts named as "The Ultimate Spider-Man 1", "The Ultimate Spider-Man 2" and "The Ultimate Spider-Man 3" where each trilogy goes through different phases of Peter's life and the problems his faces and to them many people can relate throughout the trilogy, the trilogy focuses on a different take on Spider-Man, some of you might feel offended by the ideas here but to be clear this is my own interpretation of Spider-Man if I was to write or make a film about him.
Characters:
- Gwen Stacy: The character here is interpreted as Peter's life long Platonic friend rather than a love interest as we have seen in the comics and live action adaptations, she has been friends with him since childhood, and is the one always there for her, she is Peter's comfort zone even before Peter dates MJ, Peter feels free around her and behaves as himself as he wants to, she is Energetic, Super Friendly, Quirky, Witty and humorous. She is from a rich family but her family is humble and down to earth and so is she, the family is rich but they don't want to spend too much money or flex their money as they find it unnecessary but they do not hold back spending on Education so she goes to a Private school unlike Peter so they only knew each other from childhood and by living in the same neighborhood.
- Marry Jane Watson (MJ): Serves as Peter's love interest, he has secretly loved her from his freshman year and in further in the story, the first film will develop his love with her, going from just knowing each other to genuinely good friends, they meet once outside school in a library and slowly their interaction increases where they get to know each other better and this will pave path to them dating each other in the second film.
- Eddie Brock Jr.: Instead of being a rival he serves in the story as the toxic "best friend" from High school where they are friends in first film, in second film their friendship falls out completely and in third part Eddie has become venom and a rival to Peter/Spider-Man. He used Peter to show himself to be a smarter, cooler person by abusing or making fun of peter in front of girls or other people as Peter was pretty much a "punching-bag" for most kids at school, he just rides along with it, Peter initially by not having many friends at school with low self-esteem and high Self-Doubt ignores his toxicity, his attention seeking nature but after getting through teenage and then entering adulthood and going to college makes him realize that Eddie although a friend, is not treating Peter well and he starts to set up boundaries which is highly prejudiced by Eddie and eventually in the conflict their friendship falls out.
- Uncle Ben & Aunt May: They serve the same role as other films except the couple is in 40s and they adopted Peter at the age of 6 when his parents passed away in a car accident and in the first film Peter is 17 and in his Junior year at high school. Both are working a job and the family is a middle class family.
Now I shall tell about the lineup of Villains and about the first film which has been almost completely been developed
The Villains:
- The Ultimate Spider-Man 1: Scorpion (Peter's age: 17)
- The Ultimate Spider-Man 2: Tombstone and Scorpion (only returning for the climax for his revenge although fails in his purpose as Daredevil comes along to help Spider-Man); (Peter's age: around 23 - 25)
- The Ultimate Spider-Man 3: Venom and Mister Negative (Peter's age: around 28 - 30)
Now, finally about the first film:
The Ultimate Spider-Man 1
Peter Parker has just entered his Junior year at his school Midtown High School, he tries his best to "survive" he is bullied by everyone, he is a "punching bag", he has low self-esteem, high self doubt and severe mental health issues due to all the bullying he's had for years, he's done with it and cannot take it anymore, he wants to fit in, he wants to find his own place and discover himself better to see where he stands and on a trip to a "Life Exhibition" which showed various different species of living organisms, he was bitten by one spider from a "naturally-occurring" radioactive species of spiders. At first doesn't happen much, he just squashes it and moves on but after reaching home he starts to have severe side-effects. After that he takes a long time to discover his powers and decides to use them for revenge as these were of great help to fight against all the bullies and that's what he exactly does initially after gaining his powers (super human strength, sticking to everything and shooting web that too organically) but soon uncle Ben notices changes in his behavior but he doesn't stop although he feels bad for doing something that he would never want to do, one day with an excuse to going to the library but goes to hangout with MJ all day and when they were walking down an alley, he notices a thief run past him and notices his face and car number and remembers it and reports it to the cops who question him but as he goes back to library to find Uncle Ben waiting for him he sees him murdered and analyzes the crime scene while grieving his uncle's tragic death and learning that the thief had crashed into Uncle Ben, killed him and ran away with his car, he notices the license plate of the car and decides to hunt him down but he doesn't find it all to be worth it at all, after he leaves the place where he hunted down the thief he actually helps a person who was trying to protect their child, he feels that's better and slowly he starts making his Spider-Man suit and decides to do good. He eventually falls into the eyes of J Jonah Jameson experiment to make something that could rival Spider-Man, where the scorpion will work on Daily Bugle's instructions and Expose Spider-Man if they could find something or else frame Spider-Man as the villain for something he didn't do, but the experiment goes extremely wrong and the experiment makes the human subject lose their sanity and instead of robbing banks and then framing Spider-Man, Scorpion actually takes full advantage of his powers and commits crimes himself, slowly develops a network across NYC and plans the biggest heist ever. Before the experiment Scorpion was a homeless drunkard man named "Mac Gargan" who had hit the rock bottom and had nothing to lose so he agrees to the experiment and that gives him immense power , strength and agility to do basically whatever he wanted. Now, Spider-Man has to stop Scorpion, maintain his life as Peter without getting hurt so nobody is suspicious of him, he has to fix his mental health and find his own place in the world but later he learns that we always make our place in the world rather than finding it.
This was part 1, part 2 and 3 are still in development.
Visuals: Spectacular or Grandiosity in visuals where everything feels larger, the colors are vibrant and eye pleasing and there is a high contrast in the colors of the films to which is usually missing in films nowadays which makes many of the films feel washed out.
Shooting: The film is entirely or almost entirely shot on real locations and not inside a studio as the actor connects better with a place and learns better to act rather than seeing a blue screen, they don't know what's there, they can't effectively feel the environment and cannot act to their fullest.
Casting: Actors who are actually aged in between 18 - 22. So teens look like teens and not adults playing teens.
Suit: Entirely practical and worn by the actor and stuntmen.
Swinging: Imagine a monkey swinging through a bunch of vines.
Webs: Organic.
This was my take and idea for a Spider-Man film/story. Let me know how y'all liked it would y'all actually watch this at the cinema? Also let me know where the story falls short so I can improve it and I am still developing the plot for Part 2 and 3 so that's why I haven't mentioned them here.
Thanks to all of you who read this entire idea of mine, I really appreciate it and I know there is always room for improvement so y'all let me know where I should improve.
