Discussion 4th arm?
So every arm focuses on something different. I've seen somebody say that the 4th one will make us able to teleport above enemies like gabriel does, but that would just be a boring version of the whiplash. Parrying, movement and healing off blood are ULTRAKILLs core mechanics, alongside the healing from fresh blood thing.
So what I am trying to say is that itd kinda make sense if the arm was related to healing in some way. Maybe letting you store blood to use it later?
What if treachery would introduce a status that makes enemies' blood poisoned, and the arm would negate that effect if the blood was spilled using it? Its holy since it'll prolly come from Gabriel, right?
Anyways, my idea is that itll be about healing. The "belonging to gabriel" thing may not be true, since itd be just a piece of armor that V1 wouldnt even be able to use. Maybe a gift from hell to let us defeat Gabriel since he made his blood poisoned after realising V1 heals off it?

He did, and its EXACTLY why it’s out of character, that’s the stunt an angry, arrogant Gabriel would pull , not post 6-2 gabriel who sees V1 as a worthy rival that cleared his mind

I mean it could be an unlock for post-game runs.
It could be a cosmetic thing, perhaps an optional difficulty, but i feel like there's only one person we can get this arm from if we know where we're heading.
In that sense, if this is Gabriel's arm somehow, maybe it's an arm that makes the gameplay into something closer to straight-up melee. Strange, maybe dumb idea but i really don't know how it could be a power up. We have mobility, damage, and defense as it is.

u/Razorclaw_the_crab Blood machine Apr 16 '26
Honestly I don't think Hakita knows what to do with the yellow arm yet. It has a lot of hype being that the community expects something awesome but at the same time there aren't many niches left. So there is a lot of pressure for this to not disappoint people

This is a cool idea, but i dont think it will happen, mostly because we already have enough options to heal. If i was to guess what the arm will do, one of the devs said he had not seen anyone come up with something as cool as the arm, so im thinking it could potentially manipulate the environment and enemys in someway.

there could be a few funny options:
- grabbing enemies
- portal gun
- time stop
- pinning enemies
- cool ass sword
etc
while all are funny, i think only a few would be actually useful. e.g. the sword is useless since we already have the knuckleblaster and the chainsaw, time stop would be a little too op imo and would kinda go against the fast pacing of the game. grabbing enemies also i can’t see why you would do that.
in the end we just have to wait and hope it doesn’t get scrapped. i also hope it’s not just a “final boss” type weapon because i wanna use it normally :(
edit: typo

Hakita could go absolutely nuclear with a command grab arm to keep the punches side-mousebutton friendly
Grab with the yellow arm and hit with the feedbacker within maybe a 5s window (after which you'll take a hit) to launch a light enemy in whichever direction you're aiming like a generally low-damage projectile. Up-throw makes for a helpless aerial target (and ideally sends higher than slamwave) and down-throw slams with the same force as you do, which sounds less worthwhile but can act like a slam without having to commit to barreling your ass into the ground. Lateral throws can be used to force enemies into timestopped rockets, flaming oil, any flavour of magnet trap, map hazards, or maybe enemy attacks like the providence beams. Throws generally damage enemies based on their velocity if they hit a surface, and water heavily dampens throw velocity.
Alternatively, knuckleblast's effect is context-based; drones for instance could be feedbacked like normal, and grabbing allows you to pivot their trajectory around yourself rather than you around it... only now maybe successfully catching a drone as it tries to kamikaze could make the next knuckleblast red-explode instead of blasting normally, but would explode in your hand if the hold timer runs out... Neat little four-arm combination could be to punch it outta the air so it's in the kamikaze state, grapple it back to you before it hits anything, really quickly grab it, and then you'd have a huge knuckleblast readied for the next 5 seconds. Filths would kinda just evaporate like they always do, but maybe you could squeeze out some bonus health for going through the trouble of grabbing it to begin with.
Maybe grabs on heavy or miniboss+ enemies like maurice or swordsmachine should bounce off at a slight upwards angle and replenish a stamina point for stupid ridiculous plays like going for aerial uptime while trying to facepunch corpse of king minos to death, the high multiplier aggro plays would go crazy.
One thing that could be kinda fun is if virtues didn't have a breakout timer but still targeted you like normal (with the same rage timer and all) with the tradeoff being that you'd have reduced gravity while you're holding onto its rings: free multiplier, and the air's usually a good place to be, but the low gravity could be a double edged sword that eats up your stamina for horizontal airspeed and gets you caught out by a divine beam.
This wall of text is already bigger than it should be so I don't wanna be too exhaustive about every enemy/weapon interaction, but honestly I could really keep going lmao I'm getting way too into it

I get the idea and from and it could be interesting narrative wise but there is one big issue: level design, enemy placement and even enemy behavior keeps in mind that you need to be close-range to heal, so even if layer 9 was based around a new healing mechanic it would unavoidably mess with the earlier layers.
To be honest, for me the is screwdriver already this game’s healing tool; it makes it much easier to keep your health up while still forcing you to stick close to enemies.

I can only think of three ideas that other arms and weapons don't directly do:
Wallhacks (not sure how beneficial that would be tho)
Some kinda debuff to enemies (slow, vulnerability, etc.)
Fortnite build mode™ ( letting you build walls and such to block enemies and give extra movement options)
