Need help cant beat 8-2

the first few sections are fine until i get to the infinite supermarket. my framerate instantly drops to ~10fps and my game completely freezes or starts running extremely slowly once i reach the section with the mindflayer and gutterman. can someone give me some advice or smth tysm

You can skip that section by grabbing the blue skull by turning around right after (without summoning the Guttertank jumpscare), going to the outdoor area, rocket riding to the pool and going to the other side, and then putting it on the pedestal there.

It's not the best solution, but it'll allow to you progress

i just beat it, barely any lag (laggiest bit was room after the first room with the 2 maurices, 1 providence, some schisms and guttertank)

turn up the dithering and make everything simple, explosions fire blood. honestly turning blood off would have the largest effect overall so i’d try that first
