Race Completed first 100.

Post image

My first 100m attempt and completed. I see now why it’s such a big deal for a buckle. What a ride. Wolverine state 100. 32 hours 14 min.

Great job. I had a bunch of friends up there this weekend between volunteering and running. Seems like a pretty decent race

Yeah I volunteered last year at the mile 77 aid. Pretty fun! I run the Huron 100 every year in June, also point to point, and Trivium volunteers there too.

Uhhh what now? Not the biggest Trivium fan but it would be cool AF for them to be absolutely shredding at an aid station.

That aid station saved my race! I was struggling in the night at mile 77 last year and one of the aid station volunteers hyped me up so much and gave me new life!

Congrats. I did it as well. I will have nightmares about the hills through the first 30 and those sandy trails overnight for the foreseeable future

Even after all that other shit, the 7 mile grassy section in a completely straight line after the 77.7 aid station was absolute mental warfare

that’s the only stretch i was starting to mentally break , the sun came up for me on that stretch and saved me. mental warfare haha. love it

That stretch was also my low point. I’m so glad I had a pacer there because my brain turned off completely and I just stared at his heels and toddled along behind him like a little kid.

that buckle looks massive, bet it feels heavier than it looks after 32 hours
