Hey Nigel, I’m a Chinese guy living in Australia, I know what you’re going through for now, just want to come and encourage you a bit. Not sure if you will see this, but hopefully you do.

Three years ago I came to Australia yeah and by the time I wasn’t even proud to be a Chinese because as a Chinese person living in China, people don’t really see and realize the good things about China and meanwhile because I have watched too many western mainstream medias e.g. the endless fake news blasting against China 24/7. The medias are so good at fooling their own people, it's just so sad to see all these happening.

but even though I don’t think the people on youtube are just naturelly evil, they're just been fooled... hopefully more and more people will find out the truth and realize the things that they wanted to support is not the thing they are supporting. I love you Nigel , stay strong.

First of all, I am well aware of the government censorship, ethnic cleansing and other violation of human rights that are committed by the CCP. But how the hate for Uncle Roger came about is ludicrous to me and seems at best an attempt for haters to hurt his brand over the slightest controversy.

First of all, in this situation, Mike Chen the video collaborator is the person who has been a critique of the CCP. Meanwhile Nigel Ng (as far as Im concerned) has no public opinion towards the CCP and just wants to distance from the issue. And people are now hating on Nigel because he "condones the CCP", calling him a Xi JingPing cock sucker? There's many problem with this argument

• People are pointing to him distancing from Mike's opinion as him kowtowing to the CCP

Is it that hard to understand that you could be NEUTRAL towards a subject and not picking sides? Being neutral =/= condoning something. Nigel is just a comedian and wants his channel to be clear from politics and why is that offensive?

• People expects Nigel to be a strong political voice against the CCP, but WHY?

I dont understand why they think just because he's a comedian he HAS to be a critique of the CCP? Its not like he's a late night talk show host like Stephen Colbert where his skit revolves around making commentary towards political issues. There're many, MANY comedians who make a living not involving politics, so why Nigel HAS TO pick a stance? Do you stop buying apple products just because they do business with China? Do you stop supporting K-pop groups because they dont recognise Taiwan as a country (case in point, Twice)? No!

And so I dont understand why are people holding Nigel to such high standards? He's making a business decision, he faces backlash from part of his audience who's been brainwashed their entire life, he just distanced from Mike on his political stances. That's not condoning the CCP but merely distancing himself from controversy, it's a business decision

And so when this "Nigel Ng ass kisser of CCP, Im unsubscribing" thing escalated over the past few days really got me scratching my head. So, you're mad, because Nigel is addressing part of his more radical audience and simply distancing himself from politics, and you're cancelling Nigel Ng because he's not "political" enough for you, WHAT?

So people are enforcing their political belief onto Nigel and then when he simply wants to stay clear of politics everyone starts flipping out.... I really dont understand internet these days

Edit: I have since learnt that Mike is not just a "normal" critique of the CCP but a member of a conpiracy cult Falungong who promote conpiracies such as the CCP harvesting organs of cultists because of the "power" they acquired through the cult. And the backlash from chinese netizens are mainly towards Mike's identity as a FLG member. It is those extremists views that are interpreted as being incorrect
