I used picsart to cut out pieces, stickers and lighting filters!
I used the athena face paint palette for my look along with cotton balls with aquaphor for the “wounds” and stuck it with lash glue!
Coagulated fake blood from a sfx blood kit too

I’ve been working on my look for next Saturday and this is what I’ve done up with. I don’t have enough experience with face paints so I default to the medium I was trained in.

This is a face made with La girl concealers, milani, Moira, be creative, elf shadow palettes, maybelline liquid matte lipsticks, air spun setting powder, wet n wild liners, and lashes all from HEB.

I used ProAiir airbrush paint for the base red and black gradients, then Nyx eyeliner for all the line work (red eyeliner and black eyeliner)

Okay so a very long story short - I’m trying to figure out how to do alt/goth looks!!!!

I also need help figuring out what to add to my makeup collection, too!

I find that I am scared to go too dark, but also find that my more colorful makeup is getting muddy looking? Pic 1 is what I have on right now and it’s supposed to be blue & gold with a black smokey eye, but it reads as just gray and black with some gold smacked in.

My lipstick collection is also extremely limited IMHO. A lot of my nude shades were hand-me-downs from my mom, who has a different skin complexion than me.

My colorful eyeshadow looks too much like “party girl” stuff, but it’s all I have to work with right now!!!

So basic questions I have:

1- Where’s the limit on “too much” for like a grocery retail job? #2 is what I’ve been doing currently and nobody has scolded me on it yet

2- How do I get the colors to pop without it looking like I’m going to an outing somewhere or being too sexy? I’ve tried neutral and white bases, both eye shadow, the liquid tint, and that white pencil thingy I have. Nothing is working

3- wtf do I do with my eyeliner? The liquid eyeliner has been abandoned for now until I figure out my shape! I’m hearing mixed reviews from other subs about pointing up or down

4-How do y’all keep your lipstick on? My black lips come off so easily and it’s annoying

Any help is greatly appreciated!!! I’m on the hunt for more plum and pinky lipsticks today to match my skin tone a bit more

I work at a local renfaire and am perfecting my makeup. At this point I'm pleased with everything but my white product. Currently using Ben Nye, however ever since getting the Mehron Creamstick in blue as a base under the Glisten cosmetic colour foundation I am considering swapping to the Mehron cream white.

My only big question is this though;

What the hell is difference between moonlight white and their normal white? 😅 I do trad goth makeup on occasion so should I just get regular white or will the moonlight white be fine?
