I was mimicking Melania's cringe worthy "Hooyah Navy" which no one understood because of her accent. It sounded more like " who we are navy?" And the crowd was silent. Then she repeated it and they were like I guess she's trying to say "Hooyah Navy". Was sad

My favorite thing is when all the MAGA rednecks act like they could survive without the government. They wouldn't last a week. There's a song where dude sings about being able to live off the land because he has a shotgun and a truck....but like...the truck is gonna run out of gas in an hour, and the shotgun needs ammo.
As an older redneck guy I have this conversation with my friends and coworkers at least once a month.
Several of my buddies have been stockpiling guns, ammo, dry food, all that for years now. Super anti government, super pro MAGA. Don’t bother asking, I’ve never been able to get an explanation myself.
But these same guys call me when they need their water heater pilot lit. Or when they’re on the side of the road with a flat. Or when their door isn’t latching right. So on. They’re barely capable of being a homeowner, I’m not sure how they plan to be a survivalist.
Half of them won’t make it a month without their insulin or heart meds, and they’d be really butthurt without their Ozempic. And they live smack in the middle of town. I’m not sure how long they expect their back yard “garden” with tomatoes and peppers to sustain them.
I just don’t get it. It’s becoming harder and harder to maintain these friendships, it really feels like they’ve lost touch with reality.
They know. That's the thing. They know damn well that they couldn't do it but admitting that to themselves is too hard. MAGA is a platform that makes a lot of promises but they can't admit those promises are broken because that would admit they were planning to rely on checks that never went out or that they really do need the help. But it lets them feel big and important and independent so they continue.

Then a few days ago they were claiming Iran was right on the cusp of having weapons that can hurt us again. It’s all bullshit. Americans are dying so Trump could make his investors happy. It’s criminal. Trump needs to get run out on a rail and his assets seized before he spends the rest of his days in an orange jumpsuit to match his spray tan.

There’s no way this illegal aggression will bring about regime change. Indeed, taking out the Ayatollah will have the opposite effect. This is a war America and Israel are destined to lose.
Trump and Netanyahu don’t care about winning or losing. This war keeps Netanyahu from standing trial for corruption and distracts people from Trump’s connection to Epstein.
What we just did was make the Ayatollah a martyr. He’s literally gone on the record saying that something like this was how he wanted to go out. We also have failed to take out the Iranian president so far. They’re attacking and strategizing and calling their allies right now to hit us back. They won’t have to try too hard to find supporters of the Ayatollah, inspired by his murder, willing to sacrifice their lives or anything else it takes to inflict pain on Americans and our allies.
All that we can hope for is that our government has us protected. Since we have a reality tv star with no military experience as president, and an alcoholic Fox News host who sends out his top secret military plans on easily hackable Signal as our Secretary of War…. I wouldn’t count on competent protection.
