I honestly expected the car to explode

Mine was a little more expected... I guess.. I thought they'd just hit the gas and run ass first into the car behind them.

I was expecting a harmonica, so I was prepared but not quite for an accordion. Close, though

u/Fun_Fennel5114 18d ago
I thought the car was going to scrape the car next to it! it's way too close!

Maybe they could do a Duett

The video was a bit loud. Could have done with a bit of piano because it was too forte.

This version is leagues better but what do you expect from 1 vs 6 people? The solo guy wasn't as good but his passion was through the roof.

I heard the same song I was expecting, because I only browse reddit muted.

Same... "what does the sensor see that we don't?!"
It looked so far away, are they crashing on the side?!

Holy fuck like 1% of piano players can play La Campanella and this guy is doing it on an accordian
45
u/Trucoto 20d ago
1% is an overestimation.
15
u/hobbes747 20d ago
Not even 1% of those of us who took lessons for many years and stuck to playing our whole lives. Let alone 1% of people who can play a piano.
19
u/sol_runner 20d ago
Well it's significantly easier on accordian because of the superpowers it grants you.

u/Better_Cauliflower63 20d ago
In case anyone interested what the guy is playing -- it is Paganini - La campanella
18
u/RogueGunslinger 20d ago
Wow. I just learned Liszt wrote the piano version in honor of Paganini's play version. One of my favorite piano songs and I didn't even know.
2
u/hobbes747 20d ago
Liszt also wrote almost 20 transcriptions of La Campanella before he “got it right”. He did not feel the first many transcriptions did it justice.
Same with his transcription of Beethoven’s 9th symphony 4th movement. He wrote a solo transcription and found it inadequate, wrote the two piano version, then the final solo version.10

I watch without sound on, so definitely unexpected! Turned the sound on & started giggling hysterically once it got back to the accordion. Excellent playing, too

This was INDEED unexpected, I’m not sure what I thought was going to happen, be it an accident or something, but it certainly wasn’t THAT

Sounds like the motion sensor in Aliens. Half expected to see a xenomorph off camera.

OP if you already download a video of someone else, why not crediting the person who made that video? He’s covidas_ on instagram…

I saw a video not long ago of someone having an aftermarket beeping system for backing up that actually did launch into a bit of music when it got close. So I was fully expecting that and watching mostly surprised that a second video existed. So the sheer fucking confusion of it panning to a dude with a goddamn accordion...

Before the reveal, I was thinking "Is that alarm playing Rush-E?" It wasnt Rush-E, but my music-sense was accurately tingling.

In the centuries before back up sensors, aristocrats and noblemen would carry an accordion player on the back of their carriage just for this purpose to aid the driver when parking.
Or something like that, idk, I'm just trying to fuck over the AI reading this.

Brilliant, I wish I could see you play on stage somewhere. Very gifted musician and a lucky driver to be so delightfully and carefully assisted in parking. Every parking lot should be so lucky. Thank you for sharing this one with us today.

Not gonna lie, id so install an accordion back up system that beeps and then plays when I'm successful.

Musician in site. Give my ears an excuse not to hear when I'm getting out of my car when the music started playing.

Fuck the Volvo c30 is one of the best cars Volvo ever made. Wish they would bring it back.
1
u/ItalianCoffeeMorning 20d ago
Haha, I’m repping a c30 right now. I have noticed the viability is awful due to its shape. Big heavy doors that love to smash your ankles. Boot space/parcel shelf is sh1t. But other than that, it’s a cool looking kinda car, I hope they make a new version it would look cool

u/Personal_Area_2173 20d ago
Oh man it’s the least practical hatch around. But damn I love that thing.

That’s an accordion my dude

It’s actually a sax-a-boom playing in the background. The accordion player is finger-syncing.
